  1. I have had an issue with Aircon - it doesn't blow out particularly cold but I had it regassed, but I get an issue on longer journeys 4 hours plus where it just seems to stop working - nothing blowing / circulating into the car I have had this several times in the summer, you can switch off the sircon for a while then switch back on and it'll work for a bit then stop again, the best cure iis to turn off engine then restart - but it seems like something is overheating to cause the issue? I had only ha this on A/C but it happened the other week when the heating was on the same thing and had to power off and restart engine to clear it. Apparently the garage said there's no error codes showing? Anyone else experience anything similar, I have a hunch its the sensor playing up but I have no real evidence of this? Kodiaq 4x4 Edition 2017 Diesel manual - had from new.
  2. Hi Guys, I have Skoda Kodiaq 2.0TDI Edition 2017 - the emissions / Engine light came on as above, I'd been using cheap Tesco Diesel for a while instead of V-Power which I had always previously used but its become too expensive. Called my friends garage to book it in then the light went out...? He said it might be the fuel, so I filled up with V-Power Diesel, light stayed off until I got to the end of the tank - it came on again - so I filled up again with V-Power but its remained on this time and I'm a 100 miles into the full tank now so I would have thought if it was the fuel it would've gone back out by now? I'm out of warranty so I guess its a visit to the garage to get it tested out - hopefully if it is the DPF sensor (which had gone previously on my old Occy) its a cheap and easy fix? Any other ideas? Thanks
  3. Sorry I've not seen this - sounds like there is a wiper home issue if it stops in the middle of the screen? This I would take to the garage to look at.
  4. Hi Silver1011, I deliberated over your comment have I pulled the lever for long enough, as I had an Occy L&K for 12 years prior to the Kodi and I only ever had to give it a slight pull let go and the washer would go and wipers wipe for around 5 wipes per pull of the leaver, so I was used to this being the case. On the Kodi I pulled the lever but I didn't hold it for any length of time, that I was aware of so yesterday afternoon I tried it pulled and held and sure enough after a couple of seconds the washer came onto the screen, then on the third 'long pull' the headlights were washed. I then tried it a bot later with a short pull and again it was just the headlights that got washed nothing on the screen until the third 'quick' pull of the lever. So I believe you were correct it need a long pull of the lever to activate the screen wash on the first pull - thank you - I cancelled the garage appointment - didn't want to get charged for not needing to be....
  5. Yes exactly that, and its been like it from new - annoying, but I never thought to ask about it before... until I came back on here for my map update... yes definitely pull it for long enough, I physically have to pull the lever 3 times before it sprays onto the windscreen - and it sprays immediately onto the headlights (on pull 1) as I said, and the wipers go immediately too which is frustrating in the summer for flies/bugs and in the winter for salt spray....fingers crossed they sort it and its an easy fix..
  6. I have it booked in tomorrow so I'll let you know - funny thing is the washer activates straight away on the headlights - so it sounds like it maybe the washer pipes have been connected wrongly at the switching point as it should be washer sprays on the third pull of the lever on the headlights not the windscreen which is what I get.... I've done 56.5K miles in it so far and want to get this done under the warranty which runs out at 60K
  7. Thanks for all the replays guys! Mine is an early 2017 model in fact I think it was one of the first ones in the country, there isn't so much a delay as it much as it doesn't squirt onto the screen until the third (sometimes fourth) pull of the lever.... Sounds like it became an issue and they resolved it - I think I will take it back to the dealer and see if they can reprogramme it...
  8. I find it quite annoying that when I activate the front window washer it sprays the headlights first even though the wipers start going straight away on the windscreen, (which can start to smear anything that's on there first like insects or bird poo) it takes about three attempts before water sprays on the windscreen - is this normal or can this be adjusted so that the primary wash is on the windscreen first? Is this normal or just my vehicle? Thanks Kodiaq 2017 Edition 2.0 TDI
  9. Hi Nigel, I had my car in last week and this for aircon and maps issue, it is Skoda Germany they are having an issue with their website - they now know about it and are trying to fix it - so I guess keep checking back on the website. Alternatively there is a link on here to download the 2019/2020 maps which I did today and its worked brilliantly. Cheers Rob
  10. Well, I bought my Kodi back in april 2017 brand new very excited about it, but the maps were out of date the day i picked it up..! :( But I use a TomTom anyway, however we do a lot of driving in France and last year they reduced their speed limit on A roads from 90Km/h to 80 Km/h and my wife got a speeding ticket at 84Km but the Kodi was saying 90 obviously as it had never updated the Maps - i had asked them on a service to update but nothing - I had tried to update on my drive using the home wifi but it never seemed to work - I asked the garage again as my aircon packed up to look at the maps as well but the update for maps website is not working. So I looked on here and hey presto you guys have sorted it thank you - I downloaded this onto my PC then onto an SD card put it in this morning and it was over 50% through in about 15 mins so hoping its completed by now. No one advised that I should go online at Skoda myself for updates to SW or Maps - I had no idea and its t2.5 years old still had 2017 maps in it.... So I am very pleased thank you. Also had the aircon sensor changed as it kept shutting off and never blew out ice cold air only cool - seems all fixed now too.
  11. Superb post thankyou very much for your help!! Cheers Rob
  12. Hi All Thanks for the replies. No I use the same key, the ATA is activated on the Menu so not that - looks like its a new Siren I guess. Any idea where they are I thought I saw a post saying it was in the wheel arch on the front nearside arch under the covering? Or is there also a fuse for this too I could check? Cheers Rob
  13. Hi I have a 2006 Octavia II have had it from new now all of a suddne it no longer beeps when locking and un locking the car? I looked at the manual and it advises the siren only has a life of 7 years..??? My car is 5 years old? Could it be the siren that has packed in? I recently had the boot painted / touched up there could not be any co-incidence there could there? Thanks

If it is yourself, I have an error code on my 2006 Occy 2 and wondered if you would put the reader on it and check it out for me for a small fee ??- insead of me going to a main dealer Thanks Rob

  15. Thanks for the replies and support everyone I will get it scanned and let you know how I get on, I also have some rust comming through on the boot near the number plate which is a worry as its only just over 3 years old I am hoping this is covered by a body work warranty, I will probably get them checked out at the same time. Have to go to Milton Keynes now as Northampton Skoda closed down (
