  1. All replaced and working again, then I left the locking wheel nut key in the wheel and went for a test drive...... Wee trip to the dealer to replace.
  2. I had it in vice and it was still solid! I've bought a remanufactured one, then I split the short pipe removing it from caliper, arghhhhhh!
  3. I had same problem, vcds told me intermittent fault from wheel speed sensor. Turned out I had to replace the hub/wheel bearing.
  4. Hi folks, I noticed my rear pads on the passenger side were badly worn. I got new pads and a rewind tool. Drivers side no problem, passengers side though, I just can't get it to budge. Any advice? Or do I need a new caliper? Thanks for any advice.
  5. Hoses were back to front, I have just driven 20 miles home enthusiastically and all is well.
  6. This is how mine are connected. Is this the wrong way round, can someone lift their back seat and report back to me please. Thanks
  7. I did take it to a garage. I went to the local vw garage.
  8. I made this same idiotic mistake yesterday myself. Cant even blame my wife.... I put £20 of Petrol into my nearly empty tank. I got about a mile along the road and broke down. I opened the filler cap and could smell petrol. I Got towed to a friends where he removed the fuel pum from under the back seat and pumped it all out. Pumped out the fuel in by the filter as well. Put some diesel in and it started. Great it thought. Then it started knocking and would not rev. I got a new fuel filter from the local vw dealers and eventually started running. It is running fine now then for no apparent reason will cut out. I am worried that the fuel lines (black and blue)have been connected up back to front when the pump was put back in. Would the car still run? Can someone take a picture of theirs possibly? Mine is a 56 plate vrs tdi Thanks
  9. I saw the scout outside yer hoose! I've missed a call from SUK, someone called Dan? Need to call him back today. Hopefully I'll have the scout next week. I got an email from visa 3 weeks ago telling they would be changed. Skoda have dragged their heels a bit with me.
  10. Sorry everyone. My earlier post is unclear. The problem is with the reversing sensors. I have pulled the fuse to them and the faults have all dissappeared. So now all i need to know is where the parking sensor controller is?
  11. Thanks for the responses guys. Here is an update. As I said before. My reversing sensors have stopped working, So I reconnected the battery and started the car. It stopped as normal. I took it out for a drive when i got back i turned off the key, the engine kept running. I pulled the fuse for the reversing sensors, the engine stopped. Somehow the permanent live and switched live are shorting on that circuit. I have left that fuse out for now. Does anyone know where the controller is for parking sensors?
  12. It won't stop when I remove the key. I had to disconnect the battery.
  13. Hello guys. When I went out to my car today the battery was flat. I hadn't left the lights on or anything like that. I got a jump start from a friend and now the car won't stop. I had to remove the battery. I have had trouble with my reversing sensor recently, could these be related? Has anyone had a similar experience?
  14. Hi Mute, I am struggling to find this step by step you talk about. Could you or anyone else post a link for me please?
  15. I am having a similar issue with mine just now. When I select reverse the display doesn't even come on on the stereo. Then it will work again.
