  1. Kewl videos ! Thanks a lot for the link !
  2. I have nothing against them really... and I'm sure they are real nice and comfy family cars... but they just look like retarded snails... LOL
  3. Moderator... I'm offended by that blasphemy in that last post... please delete it hehehe
  4. Yea it is LHD... like I said it's only here for promo purposes... I don't even know if they'll eventually decide to sell it here. It's true that it's not the nicest looking car around but it's... different
  5. Unfortunately it's not for sale so no demo drives... Don't know if I would buy one but still a nice car with tons of carbon fibre Anybody in here own one? Knows someone who own one? Just curious about the true performance of that car...
  6. Eh Guys... Actually Wellington is really windy... and auckland sucks The dog in my avatar is Patch, one of my neighbour's 2 red nose pitbull. Very nice and affectionate dogs... the worst thing that they'll do to you is lick you to death :p We're trying to teach them to protect the Skoda but they don't quite understand... hehe
  7. Yea well... the warm weather isnt here yet... still pretty cold and rainy at the moment... but should be getting better in a few weeks. Then I can send you a bit of air in a jar
  8. ...why I moved from Canada to New Zealand It could be a really long answer but the shorter version is: When I finished my Network Engineer training in 1999, the canadian market was extremely saturated and I had a friend who's dad was living in NZ so I said... why not. Went on a month holiday, checked out the scene, looked for a job, and decided to come back to canada to pack my bags. Everything was soo much nicer and warmer and all the cars that we couldnt have in canada were available in NZ... it was a bit of paradise for us... I still really enjoy NZ after 3 years but it's not as much of a paradise as when we first got here... I traded my VTR1000 for an octavia vRS earlier this year and then went on to start AudiSportNZ and the VWAudiSportKlubNZ and things are loooking pretty good at the moment... Well... when you guys have a free minute, come on our message board and saw hello http://www.vask.co.nz If you want to follow the progress with my vRS project you can go to http://www.rs.vask.co.nz Hope to see you guys there...
  9. Yes they are nice and fast but the only problem with them is that they have their power way too high in the rev... really good for a track car but it gets annoying around town... and they have no torque... and they are far away from the built quality of europeans, even though they are one of the best built jappa around.
  10. B&B Automobiltechnik GMBH (http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de) It's a remap. I haven't put it on the Dyno yet but will do as soon as I can... but it's definitely a lot faster on the "butt dyno" :drive1:
  11. Thanks guys Yea mine is also a bit stiff on the road but nothing compared to a lowered Evo or WRX... I use mine on the track once in a while as well but can only take part in "Advanced driver training" days because it's the only way insurance are going to cover the car if it's on the track. And yes Real Skoda, the rear setup is just like a golf IV. Freakcrab, you know that if your friend wants a Skoda from New Zealand, he can let me know and I can arange something for him... quite in good terms with the dealership and him buying in Aus $ it would be a bargain. Don't you guys get Honda Integras ?? My other choice for a car was a '02 Type R but I decided to go for a european for a change and I don't regret it ! Oh and the drop at the moment is only 15mm and I can go down another 15mm but it wouldnt be driveable around town...
  12. Had a set of H&R ajustable coilovers installed on my '02 vRS and let me tell you that they are absolutely amazing ! Before the car's traction control used to behave really badly and jump and do all sorts of weird stuff but now with the H&R's it's just perfect. High speed cornering, even in the wet, is not an issue anymore and the ride still remains fairly comfy. I've also got a B&B 225hp / 320nm chip with a forge dump valve and some more stuff is on the way... just need more money now. MadMax
