  1. Hi, I have an 08 octavia estate, it seems like water is getting in around the passenger door seal. There is water on the inside of the seal and the under carpet deadening is wet (took the cill trim off). Is this common and is there an easy fix?
  2. I have just paid for this today, so he has sold it 👍
  3. Hi Guys, I have recently purchased an 08 plate Octavia Estate 1.9tdi Classic. Its only done 41k so should last me a couple of years as a family runaround. Obviously its pretty basic so would like to add some comfort factors if possible. It has the basic stereo and only front speakers, which actually sound pretty good. Is a replacement stereo straight forward? Ideally would like one with DAB, Sat Nav & Hands free. Are the steering wheels easy to swap? The seats are ok, but one has had a repair at some point so may look at changing them, pretty uncomfortable too.
  4. Try Forte turbo cleaner......worked for me
  5. Im getting condensation in both of mine, i replaced the NS one last year after it got damaged so can't be an age related thing. Im going to take mine out and leave them to dry for a few days i think and see if that cures it. Have to say the whole car has been getting bad condensation, but the weather has been horrific, and no signs of leaks anywhere.
  6. Ah, wish id know about that before replacing it! lol Might just try shift them as they are first and replace the other one.
  7. I will have a look at what skoda have removed / put in the box in my boot, i think he said the whole lot comes as one, they are about £250 each for new ones :-s Yes will become a FREEDOM member
  8. I had some minor cosmetic damage to one of my headlamps from drips in a car park, it looks like a patch of clear laquer has come off on one of them but you can only see it if you are really looking for it. Any way, i got it replaced and paid for by the car park, but now it looks too new compared to the other so i think I'm going to get another new one and sell the pair. Any ideas what sort of money i should be asking for the pair?
  9. do you mind me asking where you got them refurbished and was it a good job? looking at getting the octy rims done
  10. ABC for me, the guy took care and talked me through each section of work he was doing! He is totally into his cars and his passion shows. I must admit the place and guys look a little scary! ha ha, but are really nice guys. Car drove like a dream after id been.
  11. Good point, i will use that in my argument. I have given up the space (well got a months notice left on it) due to high costs and the damage its causing..... But will continue to try and get it sorted.
  12. So far i have been to reception and asked who i need to speak to, iv been given an email for the manager and have sent an email explaining the situation and what damage has been caused. I haven't heard anything yet so need to follow it up, but was just looking at options to give them an idea on what it would cost to fix. The problem is its not really major damage and you can barely see it, its easier to feel it if that makes sense? you can just about see it but i would imagine they will say it looks ok.
  13. Do you know if the housings are the same? one on ebay listed as xenon head lamp, then in description says bulb and ballast not included.
