Who or what is the biggest threat to SKODA?
pieman[vrs] replied to ColinD's topic in About to buy a SKODA?
Hello, not been on here for donkeys but I thought I'd chip in. Was a mk1 fabia vrs owner, great car bad dealers! Currently am a long suffering owner of a Audi a4 and the experience has been terrible. More Bad dealers & poorly made cars are forcing me away from the group plus all the stigma of driving a diesel gate car that has lost most of its value in the past year or so, Despite spending around £4k to keep in on the road over the past 2/3 years! Looking at a boring Mazda 6 then I can save heaps of money to put towards something fun! -

Electric Window Problem- wire broken?
pieman[vrs] replied to superherojones's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Hi, Sorry to bump an old (ancient) thread but thought it was better than starting a new one. Drivers side window has just died, nice crunching sound then just stopped working unfortunately the window is down. is there some way of getting the window up without having to drill out the rivets? Just want to get the window up to stop people rumaging through the car tonight then I can have a proper go tomorrow after a trip to ECP Any help appreciated thanks on advance!!!! -

Hey, Not posted in a while hope you are all keeping well? Been having some issues with the battery, car would not turn over so I tried to jump it with the van and it wouldn't hold charge so I called RAC man and he rekoned the alternator had packed up - low signal fault at alternator. So ordered a bosch s4 battery and a bosch alternator, fitted the battery tonight and the car starts up but there is no batery on the dash so am guessing its not charging? have also checked the wiring to the alternator and the loom under the battery all seems ok. So I gonna fit the alternator tomorrow, looked in the hanes and it seems simple enough I was just worried about removing the aux belt got any tips? Also when I removed the battery tray I did not note where the hose came from so any pointers on that would be great too! Thanks in advance

Been playing BF since BF1942. always the same, release a load of mods / addons just before the next version then release a buggy rushed game that everyone moans about then patch it and never really fix the real issues and hope that everyone will buy the next version.... Don't get me wrong I think its one of the best games ever (if a little dumbed down these days)!!!! I don't understand why they couldn't wait for PS4?

Tiny bit of snow here in London, not enough to cover my van annoyingly, had to move it to another borough to avoid a fine but probably enough to shut down the underground and all the airports in the south east. Don't have winter tyres, don't really see the point here as I have no where to store them, and now we've had a bit of snow the prices will have shot up 200%. The furbie coped fine a couple of years back when we had real snow, it's not the car it's the driver
