The Fabia MkI leaking door poll
Burroughes_Fabia replied to @Lee's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
06 - rivets. Only had one side leaking but did the fix on both, used tiger seal. This was a year ago and still no leaks. -
blowers not working :-(

Ok, cheers. Will check out some of the threads -
Hi all, today I went to put my blowers on '2' but there was nothing... Then I tried levels 1, 2 + 3 but they only seem to let minimal air in. Level 4 is the only one that actually blows as it should. Any ideas?

Yeah you need to pull the head unit out, wires plug straight into one of the blocks in the back. I removed the glovebox and sill trim, and trim at the side of the back seats to run the wires. Ran both down the passanger side and split the two to each speaker under the seat to the speakers in the boot. It's all explained with pics in the instructions. It's a bit of a fiddle with trim (a few skin pinches to be expected lol) but not too bad of a job :-)

If you want to have rear speakers I'd advise you to buy the skoda fabia rear speaker kit, its made by blaupunkt. Search it on eBay, comes with wiring and instructions on how to run.

How do you wire the input of the crossover to the head unit? Can it be wired into the exiting wiring in the door panel? Does the car need the crossover as the standard speakers are components anyway? Could I just replace the woofer and tweeter?

Hey guys, purchased some vibe liteair components and I'm planning on installing them tomorrow (weather permitting). Just wanted some quick advice on a few things. I've taken the front door card off before so no probs with that, and I've got the spacers sorted. I'm just wondering how the triangular tweeter cover comes off? Also is it a case of glue gunning the tweeter in place? Finally how was people secured the crossovers? Thanks, Scott. Share S

Excellent first car! (Im guessing its for his first at least?) I'm 21 today and have had it from 17. Never had any issues! Looks great, sounds quite good as its the 3 cylinder, low insurance and best of all the red seat belts lol ;-) . The only thing I've done is the rear door seals as most people. Also may be worth buying the skoda rear speakers kit as it only has front speakers, eBay is a marvelous place! -
alarm LED not flashing?
Burroughes_Fabia replied to Burroughes_Fabia's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
That's a bit crap, thought most modern ish cars would have an alarm! Oh well, I'll stick with my 'deterring flashy LED' lol -

Haha definitely pressing it the once don't worry ;-) This may be very stupid but... I tried everything to set the alarm off....do I even have one? It's the fabia sport, I assume so because of the flashing led on the drivers side door? Or am I a complete idiot lol -

Cheers for the reply Karl! But today I locked the car and its bloody working again, so I can only assume a dodgey connection. I'll be changing the front speakers soon so will have a look for anything obvious/give a clean when the door panel is off. I will try setting off my alarm today as its always nice to know it works and if it were to go off ;-) -
Just noticed that my red led isn't flashing once my car has locked :-s the indicators flash as normal and the locking sounds are correct. Does this mean my alarm is not active?? I've never really heard my alarm and don't really know how to set it off? Could this be something simple like a fuse or something? Any help would be great, cheers guys.
