My 9 month old Elegance(ex Manager Car) on Monday came up with 3 warnings, bulb,(garage confirmed all bulbs were working)ESP,ABS. Hill hold also stopped working. On inspection the Computer Says "check wiring loom", turns out water has been trickling in since new, and caused the problem, now after 5 days garage confirms water is getting in but no nearer to finding point of entry. Possible theory is coming from roof bars so they are stripping head linings etc, any ideas how long this process can go on for? Skoda UK have supplied hire car

Hi, I have Fabia Elegance with maxi dot on a 61 plate, First option, Is it possible to display the large MPH display on the maxi dot? Second option, I would prefer to remove the KPH display and replace it with the outside temperature. (Favoured Choice) I had the Large MPH display on my Yeti, but I am unsure if its doable on the Fabia, due to limitations on the maxi dot.

+ 1 for arm rest, nice to have, good for longer journeys, good for extra storage.. You can always leave it upright so its out of the way until you need it.

Thanks, any idea on cost?

Anyone Rotate their tyres, any real benefits. How much to get a garage to do it. Any pitfalls.

I hear what you are saying, today sunny and warm18C (Ambleside) set temp to 22C after 15mins fan starts blowing cold and did not go warm until I manually increased Temp. So it seems technology has advanced (did not do this on the Yeti) to a point that I prefer the old way of heating a car. I will check cabin with a Thermometer to see actual temperature. It just does not seem like progress, even if what you are saying is correct ( I had already come to a similar conclusion but was fighting against the idea) Lee I forgot to take tape with me to cover the two sensors on the dash, looks like I will have to adapt to the new way my car heats up, thats progress for you. Regards Kevin

Car 6 months old, 61 plate, Normal Temp set 21/22C. So heres the thing did a 80 mile round trip today, going set to Auto with A/C after 20 miles turned AC off, set at 22C, blowers kept warm/hot. No Problems On return trip turned Auto and AC off, set display to Face/feet/screen set at 22C, blowers kept warm/hot. No Problems Today was overcast and wet, on previous trips it has been bright/sunny and blowers after 15/20mins start blowing cold, looking on other VW forums a few threads state my problem, and all point to sensors messing up the temperature on sunny days etc. (could this be possible) I will do another test on a bright day and report back.

Mine just seems to keep blowing cold once it reaches the desired temperature, forcing me to increase set temperature to keep car at a comfortable level.

Hi, had my Elegance Estate 1.2 DSG for a couple of weeks, question on heating, once the temperature reaches the set level it starts blowing cold air through vents. I have tried this set on Auto and manual is this normal?

Hi George, no problem, yes I may be being a little picky, had it for a week and 80% of my roads are good, just the lumpy ones near my village. What I am trying to do is get all the information together prior to making my decision, so if I need to change I will go forward with the correct information, I will probably wait until I need to replace tyres. Tyre pressures 31 Front 33 Rear. I came from a Yeti 1.2 tsi Dsg so similar tyres but better ride. I am sure I will get used the new ride. I will save all information received and goggled until/if needed. Thanks for all replies.
