  1. Hi, If you place your hand under the ECU and near the bottom of the left side as you look at the picture you should feel a flap of plastic ope the flap by feel and it should move easily and may hear water rush down put finger into hole and remove the rubbish that you can feel and this should fix the issue and safe on part costs. Andy
  2. Hi, i have had no problems since I fixed, now look at every 3mths.
  3. Also could be a alternator, I just had the same type of issue and it the alterator, and is there a tiny battery drain? What it was on mine
  4. Hi, I had a new oil presure switch / sennor replaced. Drove it away from the garage and then it went off again and did not turn off. This worried me and then I went had an oil pressure test, and came back OK, (lucky I thought) May be the senor not been a Skoda version. The technician at the garge came back in sorting out payment and then said it fixed. The pin was bent so the senor worked the worng way. On the version of the Haynes manual it not in there and it the coolent sensor, If you like a new water show for a second then dont try it. my car is a skoda Comfort 2000 1149cc and the oil senor is at the front of the engine and easy to get to, but becareful because there is other sensor near there.
  5. Debbi can you send me a friend please, had facebook issues. SOS

  6. Hi, Have a check at the carpet after a down pour. The reason is that water can escape through a drain hole and fills up and then escapes through the pollen filter in my case, I have a forum going at present to show where this point on my car and different models have different places. Heres the link to the page http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/153416-leaking-water-ingress-funny-smell-inside-car/ Have a look and read and it may help.
