Hi, I need two new front tyres for my VRS and as I am short of money and have a suspicion they might go bold again I'm finding some on ebay. ATM they are all 205/50/17 I intend to keep the rear ones as they're oright but if I get something like 215 45 17 would that be such a big difference? I know I have to buy all 17 but are the first two digits really significant?

what LPG kit to choose for 1.8t octavia 1?
sc0rpius replied to diasomie's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
BRC is one of the best kits and good value for money, Prinz is good but way overpriced. The other two are ok but you should go for BRC. -

Rear wear is normal, so you reckon its just the tracking yeah? If so ill get it done by a different place next time. -

Well its sorned at the moment, ill get it back in 5 months. After I get new tyres ill get it tracked, dont want 3 points for nothing. Thing is though I had it tracked last time and the tyres only lasted 6 months. So might not be that. -

everything standard 205/55/17 -
Hi, I bought brand new Falken FK452 tyres around 6 months ago and the tread on the nearest inner side is all gone, this happens on both fronts. I remember the part worns I had before had the same problem. I did have it tracked after the new tyres and before that two new track rod ends were put in. I kurbed a bollard about a year ago, could it be due to that, wishbone slightly damaged maybe?

mine totally packed up a couple of months ago, a mechanic stripped it down and greased it and some other stuff to it. It's been fine ever since, got a second hand one off someone here as a backup if need be.

Dont drive it, new oil pump, strainer, new oil and filter. see how it drives then. you could have blown your turbo.

No, way too expensive for a VRS with no service history check on autotrader and pistonheads there's alot better examples to be had.

Hi, just thought id clean my car and organise my stuff, ended up going mad because i couldnt find my locking nut! My dad says it might be at the garage but I doubt it because the hub was changed over 2 weeks ago and since then im sure ive saw it in my car. If I've lost it can I get a replacement of ebay, something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKODA-OCTAVIA-ALLOY-WHEEL-LOCKING-NUTS-/170561789874?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b6465fb2#ht_1220wt_906
