Just purchased a 71’ plate fabia Monte Carlo for the wife and have a few questions that I couldn’t find the answers for. I have the old VCDS hex+can cable and after a scan,I realised that some of the modules are aren’t readable.Do I just need the hex v2 cable now so I can make some adaptions adjusting the following? Coming home lights Auto lock above 15kph Needle sweep Cornering fog lights Auto lights? Do I just need coding plus a different switch Been off the scene a few years and sons fabia 18’ plate SEL came with most of these adjustable via the head unit, plus my cable worked on his car fine. Yes I have come to that conclusion but too many people wanting it for nothing so selling some parts and them scrapping will get me what I would like from the car. Already sold my pro race 1.2 wheels with Nankang tyres ,pro race 2 winter rims,ECS clutch and flywheel, forge fmic and some more parts.

Mk3 doesnt have th3 feedback of the mk1 even with dogbone bush and rear arb on the mk3.

No it has been stood for 4 years so brakes is the main problem. By the time I have done brakes service timing belt probably due. Mainly lack of time with family/work and storage space that I made this decision. Engine has been turned over and runs sweet. A few parts have been taken off now so no turning back.

It’s sad sad day today as I made the decision to say goodbye to my Mk1 Vrs. A few on here (the oldies) may have seen my car a good few years ago as it’s been in my procession since 1sr September 2005 but due to lack of use and it being stood for the last 4 years, I finally (reluctantly) to decided to get rid. Mainly due to lack of space and time. Still in the Skoda fold having purchased a mk3 vrs 230 pfl last year but it’s got nothing on the mk1 and I will try and purchase another one when we move house. Car hasn’t gone just yet as I will be stripping it as nobody wanted to take a project on.

Purchased this last November 16’ plate 230 edition.

Had my mk1 vrs since 1st September 2005 when it was just under 3 years old ‘52 plate.

Been installed in the interior for around 2 months and no problems so far. Only just fitted them into the number plate lights and coded them,so will see how they go.

I have also used them on the number plate lights but they needed coding. Fitted superskoda wing mirror puddle lights and boot lights as they are super bright.

All sorted now thanks. I was being an idiot and just copying everything over. Suppose it doesn’t help when I did my backup on my sons Windows laptop and it needs clearing due to a windows update stuck in 92%. One good thing was I managed to sort out my electric seats memory function,which wasn’t working due to basic settings needed doing.
