I've got an iPhone, I just hold down the home button whilst my phone is in my pocket and get Siri to read out/reply to my texts. It automatically mutes the sound system, reads the texts out through the car speakers and uses the car handsfree system when you dictate your reply, works just fine for me!

My VRS hatchback has just been in for it's first service, I asked the dealer to look into the booming noises as my car has always suffered from it. When I collected the car they stated that the issue does exist in my car, Skoda are aware of a problem with cabin pressure/booming and showed me a document from Skoda which stated the noise was not due to suspension issues and that a fix is meant to be available in September.....apparently I will be contacted when the replacement parts are available, unfortunately the document didn't specify what the cause of the problem is and what the solution is going to be!

Is anyone going to this meet that might be able to do a couple of VCDS tweeks on my mkIII VRS at the same time in exchange for beer/£'s?

I noticed today that my centre caps have started going like this too, the wheels have only been washed with water and are always waxed after washing. I've been away for 2 months and before I left they were fine and i've come back to find them all like above! Has anyone managed to get these replaced under warranty? If not any idea of a part number/price to get them replaced?

I debadged my VRS using a hair dryer, dental floss and then removed the residue using that sticky stuff remover that you can pick up from B&Q and the like. Worked a treat!

My VRS went in for some trim rattles to be sorted by my local dealer and on collection of the vehicle this evening the VRS badge has been fitted to the steering wheel, so it appears that the program is now in full swing. What amazed me more is the invoice states the badge has a unit price of £51.44 plus 5p for a sticker lol

I'm not sure I 100% want one either but if Skoda are going to give it to me for free I'll take it! Somebody off Ebay will always buy it!

It has rear side and brake lights yeah, but the indicators/reverse/number plate/fog lights are all non-led bulbs

After coming from BMW and the other vehicle in our household being an Audi I am rather used to having all round external LED lights- I find cars without these to be a bit old fashioned these days! As i'm sure you'll all know the Octavia VRS does not have LED front or rear indicators or LED number plate lights= which to me looks odd against the Xenons/LED's. I've searched the previous threads and I think it's pretty much been established that it's more hassle than it's worth to change the front indicator bulbs, however I wondered if anyone had found any reasonably priced bulbs that they can confirm produce no errors for either the rear number plate or rear indicators?

I assume there's just been a software change on MY15 cars, even if it's not normal to be honest I park in a very tight work car park and the rear sensors staying on when I edge forward is useful so I don't clip anything when I pull out the space so I'll be leaving it as it is...

I've just checked and the screen goes off when put back into neutral after around 8-10 seconds on my car

Dunno if this helps but my VRS is a MY15 car and the rear parking sensor/screen will stay active for a few seconds after I disengage reverse gear (or engage 1st gear) so it may well be a change for MY15....

Again I've got a MY15 VRS and no VRS badge on my flat bottom steering wheel!
