Its a 2005 1.9TDI 130 Comfort Can't find any threads on here, concerned that the dealer might be trying to pull a fast one

Had a call from my local dealer asking me to take my car in for a recall mod. They told me that it was to replace a cover on top of the gearbox. Anybody else had this done?

Roof bars should fit OK, but not sure about a rack as the Superb is longer than the Passat

I broke my Skoda brolley and got a replacement from M&S for about £15. The brolley is approx. 480mm long which is very similar in size as the Skoda one, and fits in the pocket easily. The M&S brolley is dark grey rather than black and obviously it does not have the badge on the end of the handle. But hey! it works just as well and you could always spend the £20 you saved on a few beers

I was unfortunate enough to break mine. Got a similiar size replacement from M&S for

Just checked on the Parkers website and they list the kerbweight at 1567kg which seems about right. Dave

Hi I tow a Swift Charisma 545 5 berth with my 05 plate 130 Comfort and it tows a dream. The only problem I have had is the odd spot of wheel spin when pulling away on a loose surface, but thats normal for a front wheel drive.

Go for it! Had a loan of one a few weeks back. The Superbs well kitted out, but the Edition 100 has got more bells and whistles than a Keystone Cops film

The boot lid on my Superb has got very stiff. I've heard that this is a common problem on both Superbs and Passats. Anybody know the best way to loosen them up??? Cheers

Some years ago the radio mute connection came adrift on my Mondeo. I found the method of determing the mute connection at www.siocommunications.co.uk/Radio-Mutes.html As the handsfree kit puts an earth on the mute wire, simply use a low watttage bulb with one side connected to earth, and then simply go along the free terminals on the back of the radio until the radio mutes. Having said that, out of choice I would use an audio lead that routes the sound through the cars radio speakers as you get a much better sound quality.

Took delivery of a Superb Comfort 1.9TDi as a company car about 5 weeks ago. All the other guys are really impressed with the size and build quality, even the sales director who drives a Merc and is a self confessed car snob. Drove from Middlesborough to Somerset this week and it went a dream. Can't wait for summer holidays and see how it fairs on the Autoroutes with the old grockle box on the back.
