  1. Hi everybody, just after the colour sequence of the wires that go into the map sensor plug (4 pin) as I'm working on one thats had the engine bay vandalised, can't find a diagram anywhere! If somebody could have a look for me I would be more than grateful! Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
  2. Why did anybody take the decals off their WRC's!! Looks amazing and I'm currently plotting schemes to raise money for it. GLWTS :-)
  3. Didn't use a resistor after it turned out to be a broken wire in the rubber shield that connects the door to the A pillar
  4. Just to clear this one up, turned out to be the yellow and brown wires in the rubber housing between the A pillar and door, bit of solder and heat shrink tubing, vag com to knock the light back off, job done!
  5. Just followed this advice on my octavia and the airbag lights out! Very happy
  6. I've had a solid flywheel in my octy II and I must say its money we'll spent, much more response and when the clutch does go you haven't got too huge a bill! Although my lower rear engine mount bush had to be replaced, possibly from more torque been transferred maybe? There's a Powerflex one on there now and it has done 210 k so mustn't grumble. Thumbs up over here
  7. I'm planning on fitting the resistor where the cable plugs under the plastic cover in the body, I've had the whole seat cable out and checked it with a multimeter so I'm at a bit of a loose end really! Don't really want to fork out for a new seat airbag the cars done 210k it's just not viable.
  8. Hi thanks for the quick reply! It usually just moans about the igniter (can't remember exact words) but I will try a 2 ohm resistor this week and post my findings!
  9. Hi there, I've got an octy II with the dreaded seat airbag fault, checked all connectors under seat etc but to no avail. Has anybody tried this resistor fix and succeeded? I've tried 3.3 ohm and 4.7 as described in other blogs but the light still returns? And please don't give me the safety lecture I understand what the implications are. Hope somebody can help!
  10. I had an octavia sdi for many years, wouldn't say " dreadfully" slow you just had to drive it differently to a tdi, i'd recommend one any day of the week, less to go wrong, better on fuel etc.. wish i still had one
  11. I'm 31, passed in '97, clean licence at the moment but had 20+ points on/off, speedings etc! taxi driver you see! we're not immune like everyone thinks
  12. My taxi had exactly the same symptoms (posted on here), tried a few things (apart from stripping turbo), but changed the fuel filter about a month ago.........light hasnt come on since! (fingers crossed!!!) worth a try??
  13. I've got an octy 2 PD105 with 135k on and only get a wisp changing gear, but my superb PD100 literally pours the smog out!! could be the difference between urban and motorway use?
