  1. Hi as has been said they are great cars I've had ours for 2 years and had a superb before that but as I've opted out of company car scheme I'm getting something bigger, my dad is buying ours which is a black edition 2.0d 140 bhp DSG and has been fab for towing and launching our boat but as we have a bigger boat which the yeti pulls fine need more umph and as now have a decent car allowance we've ordered a disco sport plus I'm racking miles up at the rate of nearly a thousand a week and only on a 9kpa pcp lol I love the Skoda brand and the dealers are fab we still have Citigo, VW golf GTD DSG and a seat Ibiza in the family so not abandoning the VW family hope you find what your looking for Andy
  2. Hi I'm also on the look out for a spare wheel as selling the Yeti to my Dad and he wants a spare ! so I guess I need the spare the fixing kit the polystyrene bits jack etc but do I need a new boot floor or will the one I have be ok ? Im guessing that as the floor is lower the foot print is bigger cheers Andy
  3. The crazy thing is you go out and buy a 5l v8 mustang on the 1 of April and it's cheaper !!
  4. Yes the poor reliability record is a worry !! But then we have no history on the Kodiaq either and whilst from experience the Skoda dealers are great the Kodiaq is a new model and there are bound to be gremlins (let's hope not but !) i got my invite for for next week to so will probably go along for a "look at what you could've had :)" as as I said, love the Skoda brand I'm no badge snob but do need a 4x4 and whilst the yeti did ok I need something bigger and with more oopphh to handle my boat petrol is not an option for me at the mo due to company restrictions, I'm sure the disco will break down :( at some point and in the last 30 years of motoring the only 100% reliable car I've had was the BMW 5 series which if you read the stats etc is the exception rather that the norm the VED is on list Inc options and would add another £30 a month to my motoring costs
  5. Hi sorry for late reply yes you can ! I've ordered a disco sport HSE Auto in fierenze red, towbar, acc ,off road thingy , privacy and a couple of other bits after some fairly aggressive discounts I've paid £38500 After specing a Kodiaq to the same it came in something like £41k before any discounts but I wouldn't of been able to get delivery in march before the VED hike Please I'm not knocking Skoda at all, in fact I loved my superb my Yeti (still have that and racking 1000 miles a week at the mo) and also have a Citigo for the daughter but im a high mileage user and insist on unlimited mileage warranty as I do over 120k in 3 years so when you also add that in the Kodiaq does become a bit more expensive Andy
  6. The thing that made me change my mind over the Kodiaq was when I specced it up to how I wanted it the DIsco sport was cheaper !! As gesture boot, front and rear parking sensors folding mirrors etc etc were all standard and whilst I really like the Kodiaq (from the pics) and I'm sure it'll be a great car I can't get one for the 1 April cut off for the VED increase still have the yeti at the mo mind
  7. Yeah work related, just opted out of company car scheme and took an allowance plus millage i have to say I did iow to Macc in 4 1/4 on Tuesday and kent the week before, knocking on the door of a thousand miles a week at mo and the yeti is performing great, not as comfy as my BM 5 series and other drivers erh respect is not as great but still a great car the only thing I find is the DSG is quite low geared in 6th pulls 2500 rpm at 80 plus fuel tank is a tad small lol
  8. Mind I'm battering it at the mo 4K miles since Christmas
  9. I've got board waiting for info etc so have ordered a disco sport oh well life on the hard shoulder waiting for recovery truck beacons lol
  10. Crikey I can't get over 45mpg in my 140 4x4 DSG lol usually less especially if I drive it like I stole it
  11. Sorted thanks 4 fuses blown !! 21,22,11 and another which I can't remember but it was labled headlamp but did passenger side drl and rear light cluster Blooody mad how can replacing a bulb cause so much grief !! Thanks anyway
  12. Hi I really don't know what I've done here I fitted 2 new DRLs LED from Hids direct supposed to be 580 21/5 they didn't appear to work so bought conventional bulbs from Halfords and drives side all ok But passenger side yikes the DRLs work but no parking/side lights and the rear lights have stopped working in that side to I've swapped bulbs changed the 2 blown fuses that went but still rear light cluster is dead, brake light works Anybody got any ideas
  13. Not really been any where, just been driving a 5 series for the last 3 years (company car ) Still got a yeti black edition DSG and a Citigo (daughters ) So now I will drive the yeti for work (opted out) until I can order a kodiaq Wife's got a golf gtd dsg coming next week so the yetis mine Had a superb for 3 years which was a great car but changed for 520d se touring which is a fab car but goes back next week both the superb and the BM completed 120k each in 3 years although just got a shock when I priced up a bed headlamp for the BM due a 1" crack £859.67 plus fitting what a joke Anyway hello again ????????
  14. I'd like to tell you that it's great to drive, but don't seem to get a lookin these days as she's allways out in,it some ware !! But so far so good, the little bits I've done I did find it noisy and the stereos not up to much but the PID is great There a bit difference between to BM and the citigo obviously !! But there a big difference between the CITIgo and the v reg fiesta she had before !! Happy days
  15. Haha BMs a company car Yetis the wife's Citigos the daughters Daughters only insured on the CITIgo ! And that will not be changing any time soon either !
