  1. Thanks for the replies, I have every intention of refusing the 'fix' until VAG group publish some data with regard to MPG, BHP, DPF refine etc. Although I'd had a letter advising that my vehicle was subject to the recall I've had no further correspondence say it was available.
  2. My Yeti is due to go in for service in January, does anyone know if VAG have released a fix for the the 170 diesel Yeti?
  3. I won't be having mine done until VAG group have published new technical data showing how the update has affected, BHP, Torque, Performance, MPG and DPF regeneration. These were all things I took into consideration when I bought the vehicle. I am aware than VAG group are unlikely to produce such data for the recall as it maybe damning to the vehicles involved after the recall update. If no data is ever published so that I can make an informed choice on whether I have the update or not, I will decline. After all the Yeti I drive is what I chose after test drive taking into account the published technical data for the performance and economy of the vehicle.
  4. Yesterday my vehicle was subject to recall, today it's not, I wonder what tomorrow will bring!
  5. Just checked the vin number on the checker and got the standard reply: Dear customer, a recall campaign has been found for the entered VIN xxxxxxx. Please contact your preferred service partner as soon as possible, who will provide you with all necessary information and service to ensure your safety and car functions. If further assistance is needed, please contact the „ŠKODA Customer Hotline“. I won't allow them to make any changes to the vehicle until I have documented results from VAG showing how the changes will effect BHP, torque, MPG and performance, after all these were factors I took into account before purchasing the vehicle. I would also like info on how any changes may effect the regeneration of the DPF. The vehicle is only 9 months old and I love the vehicle how it is and would not be happy with anything less.
  6. Wish I could but to far and something called the English Channel in the way.
  7. Agree just drive and enjoy.
  8. My Yeti's have done various trip across the Channel, within 30 seconds of removing the key from the ignition you need to push the alarm button which is situated on the B post just behind the seat belt on the drivers side. This disables the interior monitoring and also the motion detection which stops the alarm sounding whilst the vehicle is being shipped.

    Or Monte Carlo!
  10. Trying to shift stock before the new engines arrive.
  11. During my recent dealer saga they weren't either truthful or honest, seems to be a trait of some main dealers.
  12. Assuming that your dealer is not so shoddy as to put back the prop shaft with only one bolt, is there any locking nut or ring on the one remaining bolt? Would be worth checking the remaining one to see how tight it is, or if it's secured with locking nut or ring. I wonder whether they forgot to replace the locking nut or ring otherwise I'd be concerned if there could be a general issue with these bolts coming undone.
  13. Here are some photos of my Monte Carlo. Sorry for the delay in posting.
  14. Or the brochure, or the configurator in fact your better off searching or asking on here. Are other Skoda model as bad as the Yeti?
