  1. Had a problem with mine, it was uneven tyre wear on the outer edge of the rear tyre. They were worn but not down to the indicators. Changed front to rear and had new fitted to front no problems since.
  2. Have the same problem also an SE keep us posted if you have any luck with dealers
  3. Thanks for the info keep an eye on tyre pressures and usually around 34psi but will check again and buy a better gauge. I have a few days off so will check over the car. I have owned the car for 10 months now (its an 07 SE 70k miles) and I put new tyres on the front and put the fronts on the back, they were in good condition but now looking poor on the outer edge but plenty of life on the inside. I have never jacked the car on the centre of the beam, hope thats not been done as it sounds an expensive job. as for the bushes how do you test/check them? am handy with a set of spanners (changed the belt and pump at 60K) I cover around 300 miles a week much on the motorway, have some fun in it thats why I bought it but dont drive it like a loon.
  4. Anyone had problems with rapid wear to outer edges of rear tyres on a Fabia VRS have bridgestone tyres front and rear, any help appreciated thanks
  5. have an 07 vrs and the engine management light came on, had it reset came on again after a few days. Had it read this time and it came up with fuel temperature sensor A circuit, had it reset again. after poking about under the bonnet found the sensor (its on the front of the engine by the tandem pump) and the wiring to it looks very tight, its bent at right angles where it goes onto the plug but the wires that go into the plug look OK. anyway checked to make sure it was connected and the lights back on getting pi**ed of with it now. So, has anyone else had any problems with this sensor, how much do they cost, will it do any damage to continue driving the car,is it easy to change. Any help much appreciated.
  6. Washed under arches of car (vrs) on weekend to remove all the winter salt with a pressure washer and when starting the car the engine managment light came on. Car runs OK any ideas?? wont be doing this again but never had any problems in the past. Does the light reset itself or does it have to go in to dealer, dont have time this week for it to be off the road.
  7. As in title, washed car on weekend to get all the winter crud out under arches with a pressure washer (not engine bay) and the warning light came on when i restarted the car any ideas? it still runs OK. Will it need re-setting or will it self check and reset. Wont be doing this again, its an 07 vrs.
  8. Thanks dgmp tyres are on order and will have them fitted on the weekend (bridgestones) did not mention but the box shifts very smooth and other than this drumming noise all is OK. The noise does not change when you go around corners as if a wheel bearing is on its way out so inclined to go for easy option 1st, the rear tyres are worn anyway, will look at tracking when they are being fitted. I do have a worry about the box as I have seen postings on the net that they appear to have problems with the diff. I have an aftermarket warranty on the car so I hope it will cover repairs if the problem is more serious,
  9. Also have a noise on my 07SE its done 63,000 miles and at 65-70 mph it makes a drumming sound tends to drop off at 75 but that may be wind noise taking over. Going to fit new front tyres on the weekend and move the fronts to back approx 4mm of tread on them and see what happens, I hope that gets rid of it. I can hear the noise if the car is out of gear and coasting on smooth surfaces. was thinking about changing the gearbox oil see if that makes any difference. Anyone have the same problem?
  10. I thought it was a good price for an SE traveled from South Wales to North of England to pick it up. Its in good condition few stone chips on the front and needs one new tyre, I think the 60K service that was almost dew had an effect on the price.
  11. Picked up an 07 SE with 58K miles for £6,400 end of October, full service history changed the belt (kit) pump oil and filters myself.
