  1. Happened to mine a bit ago and it was a problem with the key. I had two and just switched to using the other one. Might be worth a try.
  2. I've posted a bit about my Fabia (2003 petrol 1.4). It's still broken despite: -new coil pack -new map sensor -new brake sensor Garage now think it's a broken wire somewhere but I honestly have no idea what to even change next! You can drive away in it and it'll be perfect for ten or so minutes (any speed!) and then it'll kinda lurch and the engine warning lights will come on. It's meant to be going up for sale but I can't sell it the way it is, and it's too nice to send for scrap! Any ideas? Thank you!
  3. It's always had a whiff of petrol from the filler cap area. Asked the garage and was told it was nothing to worry about. Did a longish trip in it yesterday and it was absolutely fine there and back. The lights didn't come on until I did a trip across town a couple of hours later. It's also much worse when it's full.
  4. Not recent exactly, but the most recent I have. Watching the action (and blocked in) at Lydden Hill in May: [
  5. Thanks everyone! It's been to the garage a couple of times but never does it with them. Not sure which engine it is, but I can check in the morning. How much am I looking at if it's the spark coil pack? (It had new plugs when it was serviced.)
  6. I can get a code read. Do you know where the port is? Starts perfectly every time though.
  7. My car (2003 1.4 16v petrol estate) has developed an intermittent problem when being driven. The power stutters now and then. I'm not sure how better to describe it, sorry. It's worse when it's full, and at low speeds, but is okay at higher speeds. It also doesn't happen every time it's used, maybe one time out of three. Had a service a month ago. Any ideas? Thanks!
  8. http://www.centurymotors.co.uk/used-cars/skoda-octavia-2-0-tfsi-vrs-5dr-sheffield-201503041427614 I'm so tempted by it. It's actually around the same price to insure as my current car (a Fabia estate), Someone please tell me why buying this car is a bad idea. Or tell me about living with them... Thanks!
  9. It sounds like it's at the front (under the front seats ish.) I'll have a look under in the morning.
  10. They should have spoken to me. Mine has has all sorts in it lately.
  11. Started the car tonight at work and it sounded very exhaust-y/noisy. It's going into the garage on Monday. Curious to know how much people have been paying for exhaust repairs. (I know it'll depend on what's wrong.) Car is a 03 Fabia estate.
  12. This is why I go to Asda. I did a 400+ mile trip on Tesco fuel and my car ran like a little good un.
  13. I love mine. It's an 03, and a 1.4. Never feels slow with just me in it, and is nice to drive.
