  1. @Monkhai Sorry not replied, just been off here for a while..... Well, nothing yet to be honest. It is only when I watch a movie or the like, that I think a larger screen would be nice. When watching normal tv the 50" is absolutely fine. It is 4k but I never watch anything 4k atm. It really has a great picture just viewing in standard HD (Freeview) I have however, mounted it on an 84cm pull out wall mount, which allows me to pull the tv further into the room, which is 7m long but not so wide. The pull out bracket does make a bit of a difference. Still considering a programme package (possibly Disney may suit) but I would also need to have fibre installed too as I currently just use mobile wifi for my broadband. The two together will be upwards of £40 month which I think is a lot, just to watch the box, what with the Tv licence fee on top of that. It is still a maybe, but have decided that two grand is too much to spend on a tv so it would be the BackLit Mini LED if I do go for the 65".
  2. I realise now that Panasonic do actually do Mini LED and Curry's have them onlne also. (I must have still had the Oled search box ticked). The difference between the two that I am considering is about £1200 so I need to compare similar pictures instore ie not a Blu Ray display disc .... Oled are predicted to come down in price considerably if my research proves correct. New tech is Micro LED .... well, for those that can, .... Lol.
  3. As said, different car mine ........ (118i) I cannot set my preferences for driving mode because I do not have the app installed on my phone so I have to press the 'Sport' button every time... Although ... I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't set it that way anyway. I think manufacturers are edging more and more towards a driver having LESS control of their own car's behaviour ........ ie, not being able to turn off, or even adjust certain settings, even if you want to. My car will not even let me turn the lights off manually. Luckily I was able to reduce the 'Anti Collision Auto Braking' to a minimum setting. IME it was likely to cause someone rear-ending me as it had overreacted on a few occasions.
  4. It'd be difficult to remember if they weren't electrically adjustable, Lol.
  5. Agreed, tis a bit quieter on here of late ........ Finally gotten around to waxing mine (car, Lol) recently after a good wash and polish .... The waxing, 'Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection' makes quite a difference. Car still looks pretty good, very clean and quite shiny a week or more later and considering the weather we have had, i'm glad I managed to get it done finally. Been meaning to do it for ages. And yes, bit of a chore tho ........
  6. Different car, but I always put mine in sport mode ....... I found the car behaves better and found no real difference in fuel consumption either. This action also automatically switches the 'stop-start' feature off ..... saving me having to do that every time. Lane assist was turned off separately in mine iirc. But yes, some will use the user profile settings for electric seat settings etc but I would guess for most people, unnecessary. I could be wrong on that last thought of course.
  7. I had set my mind on an OLED, however, I am concerned that it's brightness may not be good enough for my room as there are windows and patio doors at opposing ends, so quite a bright room especially (obvs) throughout the summertime. I like my Panasonics but they do not do Mini (backlit) LED (I see nothing on Curry's anyway) ... Previously having TX-P46ST and currently TX-50GX800B (the latter, I stole for £305 ebay local) I need a little more time researching but if anyone has experience of OLED vs Mini LED, particularly OLED viewing in a bright room, then hearing any sensible thoughts would me most appreciated. The Mini LED I looked at was the Sony Bravia 9 but the 8 ll has some, lets say not great reviews. Not sure about Samsung and LG sets so as mentioned, more research needed. Thanks for any input.
  8. Hi, welcome, and well done (as a country) in scalping us at the Cycling World Championships ......... Lol. Enjoy your Kodiaq and Brisky.
  9. I'd be in favour of teaching folk which their left side is ........ Lol.
  10. Did you have the tracking / alignment checked ??? And has the flywheel been done at all ??? Any weird noises ???
  11. @lurking seems like your thread got a bit hijacked.... It sounds like the battery needed a good charge though if a duff battery then replacement will sort it so long as the alternator and charging system is all good. good luck.
  12. I would have thought that light bar was the indicator led. Not super familiar with the model though.
  13. My near 4 year old battery was left unused for 10.5 days recently and the voltage reading was 11.9v before attempting starting the car. (mentioned in another thread, re- charging) It started absolutely normally. I believe that 11.9v is around 40% charge (AGM/EFB), though another mention was 25%.
  14. And a slightly different viewing angle ......... But a beautiful colour that tho, Lee. Looks good.
  15. Good point .... And thanks for all the input guys ...... (& girls ?) Lol.)
