Strange Bolero Behaviour
a.spillane replied to sdwilliams72's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have this fault again - took a picture this time ..... any advice other than take to dealer ??? -
Looking to upgrade my current retrofitted bluetooth modulecradle. I currently have the crappy black foam thing that sits under the seat. I looking to upgrade to the metal bracket and black plastic cover. I need the part number and also I believe that you need a number of nuts and bolts to secure the module to the bracket and then the bracket to the vehicle. Tried searching but there doesn`t appear to any part numbers. Someone must have done this simple mod Thanks in advance !!

Strange Bolero Behaviour

I`ve also had this fault, which seemed to fix itself ?? Can anyone tell me more about the " service campaign " ?? My vehicle booked in on Moday for service and want a few bits sorting out, the more info I have the better ! -
help please with new maxidot to my o2 restyling
a.spillane replied to kelgonar's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
** Listen to Eddie- NL **** he is the expert in this area and I wholly recommend him. He fitted my replacement cluster, MFSW, slip ring and Bluetooth. He also helped me out sourcing the replacement cluster swap to upgrade to MAXIDOT. He will fit on site if you are prepared to travel to him. Eddie-NL- thanks again everything still working great and made such a difference to the overall comfort of the car ! -
I also have an issue with the drivers seat foam collapsing. When you describe the bolster do you mean the side of the seat that would keep your upper body in the seat or the the lower section of the seat which sits next to your thighs. The support next to my right thigh is completely flattened and the leather all creased. Is this the same fault that eveyone esle is having ?? I have my car booked in on Monday for service and I have asked them to look at it as well. Just trying to get as much information as possible on the problems in case they turn around stating .... fair wear and tear ! Any advice would be great !

Headlight Beam Adjusters for Europe
a.spillane replied to baldric313's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Really easy to flatten beam, I did mine last year while waiting to board the ferry. Just unscrew the plastic nut, pull the locking level, disconnect the electrical cable and remove the headlight, then insert your finger move the little lever over. Took about 5 mins to do both! There is a really great photographic "how to " somewhere on the site ! -
I`ll third that !! Eddie has been constantly pestered by me, regarding retrofitting of MAXIDOT, Bluetooth module and soon MFSW. I will hopefully be going over to see him shortly to get all these things sorted, once all my parts arrive. !! Thanks again Ed

I took my module to a family members Yeti with BT, MSFW and MAXIDOT fitted, unplugged his module then plugged my 3C8 module in and looked in MAXIDOT to pair my phone, which it did successfully and then refitted the 3C8 module back into my vehicle without maxidot. My 3C8 module connects to my phone and downloads phonebook and makes calls but its connection is very hit and miss, sometimes when I phone out using the display on the bolero it connects the call, but does not turn down/off the radio or media and I cannot hear the person answering the call. On other occasions it works perfectly. Eddie-NL has been providing lots of help & advice and he will hopefully be shortly helping me retrofit MAXIDOT, MFSW and completing the 3C8 bluetooth and coding so that everything works seamlessly. just waiting for a number of parts to arrive !

Philbes, look at it this way, you have probably been driving a number of years and also driven/owned a number of cars which just goes to show that a VRS is a fantastic vehicle as you have based your choice of vehicle on all your exprience ! Still blow away the youngsters in their Vauxhall corsas, put a smile on your face and go a good few hundred miles between tanks ! VRS - Best value mid sized family car on the market today by a mile !

Eddie-NL, If I took my module to a family members Yeti with BT, MSFW and MAXIDOT fitted, unplugged his module then plugged my module in and looked in MAXIDOT to pair my phone, unplug my module and plug the original YETI module back in, would that cause any problems/faults in the YETI vehilce ?? I can have access to a family members YETI with MAXIDOT but don`t want to cause any problems/faults to get my premium module paried
