Came across this on the FreebieUK website - anyone got any experience of this?
https://www.insurewi...ucts/Ensurance/
Ensurance is ŠKODA’s accident and repair cover, which works alongside your main motor insurance policy to help you if your ŠKODA is damaged in an accident or stolen.
They will also arrange for your vehicle to be recovered and taken to a ŠKODA Insurance approved repairer to be repaired by ŠKODA trained technicians who will only use ŠKODA parts and paints. And where possible, we make sure the repairer provides you with a courtesy car to get you back on the road.

Blackvue Questions
20 February 2013 - 18:52
I posted these questions elsewhere on Briskoda and got no nreponse so I'm trying again here.
Based on the 400HD v2 with 16Gb miniSD:
1. It says update your firmware but I cannot find it anywhere on the blackvue website, but I can find it for the 400v1 on the blackvuehd website (late edit: I was looking at .co.uk instead of .com) - any advice please? (another late edit: I've been going backwards and forwards while typing this and found this link www.blackvue.com/en/contents/sub3.asp?serboardsort=29 [sorry, I'm using a new laptop with Windows 7 combined with Firefox and it appears I have no longer the ability to add links, emoticons, etc while on the forum!] - is this the right firmware to install?)
2. On the blackvue website it indicates on the left side under "Who's Online" that there are so many visitors and so members online - is there a forum and/or how do you become a member? (yet another late edit: this was based on the .co.uk site)
3. When viewing the blackvue software to see the clips there is a G-sensor Pane (top right on mine) which has a blue line & yellow line & purple line and the letters TB FB LR - I get the gist of the sensor (ish), but there's no mention of the letters - LR = Left/Right? FB = Forward/Back? TB = Tuberculosis?
4. MyWay Viewer - it has a symbol for 'locate the vehicle' or 'find my car' - I click on it and is does nothing and I cannot find any further reference to it!
5. Knowing no different, I have opted for High Compression, HD & 30 frames - I welcome pros and cons of my option please.

Anyone had experience of this Workshop Manual?

Sadly, for some reason, my iPad won't facilitate the above as an actual clickable link.

Bouncing Yeti !
26 January 2013 - 17:16
Thought I'd pass this one on - been 'playing' on my son's 80 acres of Fell land and had a fantastic time in the deep snow!
He was also impressed with the performance and Winter tyres that he's considering swapping his Freelander for a Yeti, previously he's taken the mickey!
When we frive home the car started to shudder as we accelerated to higher speeds. It was if the wheels were imbalanced but instead of the steering wheel shuddering the whole car was shaking as it we were travelling over rough ground.
We stopped and checked the wheels but all was fine. Got away again but it continued so I phoned my son (ex REME VM) and he said he had a similar experience on the motorway which he traced to mud that had solidified on the inside of his wheels. Another stop and quick check revealed all four wheels were caked solid on the inside with ice and snow - I can only presume at a slow speed it was able to slide round and had no effect but once at speed it stopped sliding and stayed in one position on the wheel causing the horizontal vibrating of the whole car.
Suffice to say in 40 years of driving I've never had that happen no metter where I've driven but I thought I'd pass it on to those who also may not have experienced it yet - I'm in that sharing kinda mood today having had such great fun in the Santa Express!

Fuel Consumption
23 January 2013 - 18:16
Completely filled up last night - 55 litres
I've driven 13.8 miles and according to my fuel gauge I've used an eighth of the tank (7.5 litres). That's really poo MPL !!
