  1. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. I have just picked up my new Mk£ SE L Executive. The manual has no information about roadlight type and I am ignorant in terms of halogen, xenon, etc. I will be going abroad but like to carry spare bulbs anyway. Can anyone tell me what typr of bulbs this car has or may there be different specs? Hopefully standard so someone can give me a definitive answer. What bulbs do I need to get (just standard replacements) or where can I get a ready-made kit with the right bulbs? Thanks in advance.
  2. I have new Superb Black Edition with Amundsen+. Maps are Western Europe V6. Are these the latest version? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  4. Does this work on the Amundsen to find version? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  5. Too late, I know, but I was surprised at tyres through Asda tyres. Worth a look for anyone else in the market. Order online and pay at a local fitting centre arranged through Asda site. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks got this. Picking up the car tomorrow. Current SE Plus has a spacesaver spare which I bought and has jack, etc. Iin tray fitted in wheel. Dealer has agreed I can keep spare. Do you know if the jack etc. would have been part of spare wheel extra or part of OEM with car. In other words can I keep the whole lot? Will new car (with inflator) come with jack, etc? I suppose obvious thing to do is wait and see tomorrow and hand over anything that is duplicated. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  7. Picking up my 2.0 TDI hatchback on Monday. Will find out the full spec then! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks but I've seen that. Just as comprehensive as the brochure! Things I'm querying are Sparewheel or tyre inflator? If inflator is there room for spare wheel? Multifunction steering wheel? Auto-lights and/or auto-wipers? I sat in one after I'd decided not to buy. Then better deal was offered a day later and I went for it. So, rather than a journey back to dealership I thought I'd try to pick a few expert brains.
  9. Can anyone point me to a definitive specification sheet/list for the Black Edition 2.0 TDI hatch? The brochure is useless. The Skoda website is not much better. Only one I have found is on the Carbuyer website but that seem to conflict with other snippets I've found. Need to know as I've ordered one and I'd like to know what I'm getting in comparison to my pre-FL SE Plus. I know you shouldn't buy blind but it was too good an offer!
  10. Found this topic by chance. I have this problem with driver's belt anchorage. Will get out the foam and tape tomorrow!
  11. Had confirmation from Skoda UK technical dept that fitted tyre was inadequate and incorrect. Should be minimum 94W and that tyres on same axle should be same brand and tread pattern. 'Only tyres of the same size and type may be fitted to the vehicle with front-wheel drive. However, the same brand and tread pattern must always be fitted to wheels on the same axle.' Apparently dealer has confirmed mistake to Skoda. Hopefully will resolve problem to my satisfaction tomorrow when I visit dealer. Minded to put on 4 x 225/45/17R/94W Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tyres.
  12. Thanks for the replies, especially those that addressed my query. I'm not worried about the 'Y' versus 'W' issue. That's an error in the right direction. The issue I have is that the load index of '91' is insufficient - it needs to be '94'. 91 tyres don't seem to be classed as XL (reinforced) whereas 94 tyres are. I have contacted Skoda UK who have passed it on to their technical dept. Also I have contacted the dealership who have invited me to have all the tyres checked next Monday. By then, I hope to have a definitive answer from Skoda to give me ammunition or to set my mind at rest.
  13. Hope this is the right place for this request for help/info! My '62' reg Superb II SE Plus 2.0 TDI came with Dunlop 225/45/17/94W tyres. A month or two ago at the 20,000 mile service I asked for the tyres to be switched around to even the wear. However, an inner sidewall was found to be faulty on one of the rear tyres. So I asked for a new tyre to be fitted on the front and the other rear to be fitted on the front and fronts on the rear. The dealer fitted a Bridgestone 225/45/17/91Y I have since discovered. ( The 91Y was the surprising bit!) The car has now covered 24,000 miles after a caravan holiday in France. The 3 original tyres will need replacing shortly. Can anyone recommend what I should replace them with? Do I need to fit the same tyre on the same axle as the Bridgestone? Is the load rating of 91 adequate, especially as I tow a caravan? In the past I have had much better wear from Michelins (fitted as standard on my early Octavia Estates) Any help/advice/suggestions would be welcome.
  14. Hi. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I can't see it. I have a 2 month old 2010 2.0 TDI Elegance Estate set for variable mileage servicing. After 1600 steady miles the service indicator was showing my next service due in 14200 miles. I contacted my dealer who said there was nothing to worry about and this wasn't out of the ordinary. Now after 1930 miles the service is due in 13600 miles. Is there something amiss here or am I being overly concerned? My last car (08 reg same model) displayed a much different pattern. Under normal driving the indicator reflected a proportionate display - as the mileage increased the miles to go to service decreased roughly in line. The only change was when I towed a caravan and this made a big difference - heavier load on the engine! Has anyone had a similar experience or know anything that can help answer my worries? At this rate my first service will be due BEFORE the non-variable 10,000 miles schedule.
  15. Hi, Just recovering from replacing all 4 Bridgestone tyres on my Octy II Elegance 105BHP estate after 19500 miles. I've always had cars with Michelins before and never had to change ANY tyre at less than 25,000 or even 30,000 for some rears. This thread looks as if my experience isn't that out of the ordinary. I've put 4 new Michelin Primacy tyrers on now and I'm keeping the car!!!!!!
