  1. Hi nige8021 I had to buy a scanner Here are the results with the 4 original sensors in 01545 Short to plus Sensor for parking aid, rear left (G203) 01546 Short to plus Sensor for parking aid, rear mid-left (G204) 01547 Short to plus Sensor for parking aid, rear mid-right (G205) 01548 Short to plus Sensor for parking aid, rear right (G206) I then cleared the faults and replaced with the 4 sensors I bought from Aliexpress, exactly the same results on the 4 sensors. Next I cleared the faults and replaced 2 of the sensors with 2 I bought from Ebay, same result. Am I likely to have 10 faulty sensors or could there be another issue? Dougie
  2. Hi I’m looking for some help again. I have started getting all the issues fixed on my old Mark II Fabia 3 (10 Plate) ready to pass on to my daughter. Problem I’m having is with the rear parking sensors (factory fitted), they stopped working years ago and I never bothered fixing them but they would be useful for her. Read a few of the posts and saw that most of the issues were with the sensors, so I bought a couple from the well know auction site and sent to China for a set of 4 new ones, used the link in one of the posts. This week I set about the task, took the rear bumper off using one of the site guides, makes it a lot easier taking the rear wheels off to get access the 2 wheel arch liner screws and then the screws in behind holding the bumper. Then I fit all of the new sensors and into the car I go, ignition on, into reverse, same as usual car picture on for a second and beep on for around 3 seconds, instant deflation. Then I go into problem solving mode, 10 sensors start trying different combinations, same outcome picture and long beep. Now I’m stuck, I tried everything with the sensors, I’ve charged the battery, read that a drained battery could cause the problem, checked all the wiring from the sensors back through the rubber grommet into the boot until it disappears behind the panel, no obvious damage or breaks. Does anyone have any ideas where to go next, I’ve already thought about taking the L/H panel off to have a look at the module but I don’t know what I’m looking for or what to check. Any help would be most appreciated.
  3. Thanks J.R. you're a STAR. Pushed in, got a hook on the bottom clip and out it popped, took less than a minute. I've been trying on and off for days. Once again a big thank you.
  4. Hi I'm looking for some help on removing the electrical plug from the EGR valve (see photo below), I've tried pulling, forcing off with a screwdriver, lifting the tabs, nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how it comes off? I'm trying to fix the bared wires you can see in the photo. Any help would be most appreciated. Dougie
  5. Hi I'm looking for some help as I have run out of ideas. It's my wife's car 2009 2.0TDi Laurin and Klement Octavia hatch. Started having problems just over a month ago had to jump start my 1.9TDi Fabia using her car, later that week her battery ran flat. So, changed out battery, it was the original, the new one then ran flat. I then checked out alternator, by using a meter inside car connected to battery terminals by cable. I took car out for a test run and the strange thing was sometimes I was getting a charging voltage well over 13v then at other times it would go to the battery voltage 12.70v and then start dropping as it was draining the charge, then it woul go back up over 13v. Decided it must be the alternator, so I got an exchange Bosch one and fitted it yesterday. Got it all together and started the engine, 13.5v at the battery so I thought it was solved. Went out for a drive yesterday and checked the battery when we came back and the voltage was down. Started the car and checked the voltage, not charging. Trickle charged battery overnight and then this morning checked wiring with meter from alternator back to engine fuse box and battery, all OK. Checked engine fuse box, all fuses and relay out, fuses all OK, don't know how to check the relay. Started engine and got 13.5v, so just to make sure I connected meter inside again and took it out onto the motorway for a test drive, same again sitting well over 13v then dropped off to battery voltage, so I came off at the next junction relay out and back in, fuses out and turned 180 degrees and back in, voltage up at 13.5 and then dropped back again. Did it one more time and it just did exactly the same thing. So as said above, I'm now totally confused and have ran out of ideas. What does the relay in the engine fuse box do? It is AE TL1 (7MO 951 253A 12v 70A 692.60), could it be causing the problem? I would be extremely grateful for any help in solving this. Dougie
  6. Problem solved Clean break on blue/black wire inside door boot. Soldered up and heatshrink on to cover, took longer to get the boot off than to do the repair.
  7. Hi I’m looking for some help, both the front electric windows and electric door mirrors have stopped working on my 2010 1.9TDi Fabia 3 at the same time. Here is what I know Fuse OK, has been checked and also swapped out Windows don’t work with any switch driver or passenger side Windows do work when putting key in door lock and turning left and right. Windows go all the way down and all the way back up again Neither of the door mirrors will move when using adjusting switch Funnily enough demist does work when turned to demist Anyone able to offer any advice before I start taking off door panels etc.
  8. Anyone know the Part No for the trim under the glovebox that you can fit a CD Changer into. Saw one in thread " Parrot mki9200 Fabia II Estate Installation" http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/166413-parrot-mki9200-fabia-ii-estate-installation and it's just what I need.
  9. Great job, very neat  My question is "What is the Part No for panel under glovebox where the CD changer is fitted"?
