  1. giandougl where did you find the intercooler pipe seals??? I've tried for ages to get some new ones but I can't find any! Please give me an advice! Thanks! This pipe is weeping oil and I think this can be a reason for the 16618 error...maybe (Boost pressure reg. limit)
  2. Gabsheene from where did you buy that sensor? You can buy parts from ECP but if you need a sensor go to Skoda and get a genuine one! Trust me! I had some issues with a sensor on my last Octavia MK1 and the problems just disappear after I bought a genuine one. And when this is about a camshaft position sensor which is expensive to change, get a genuine one and do the job properly! Sorry for any mistakes on the text!
  3. ok, thanks. I'll be carefull to stick the pipe into the turbo and not on a cylinder. I'll try this and if doesn't work I have to spend some good money on a new turbo... I'll keep you updated!
  4. Hi Lofty79. I just had a look on the engine and tomorrow I think I will have to remove the radiator for exhaust gas recirculation from the back of the engine in order to reach the turbocharger. There is not enough space to clean the turbo whitout removing everything from above. The Turbo on my car is getting worst... :(
  5. yes, on my car the EGR valve is in front of the engine and the pipe is on the right hand side with 2 bolts. Is a bit difficult to reach the turbo on the back of the engine. I will try to do this as soon as I get Mr Muscle and the small pipe and elbow which I order from ebay and amazon )) I think next weekend when I'm off work anyway. Thanks and I hope that I will not break anything doing this!
  6. One more question....how can I pump the actuator up and down? Isn't it a metal part? Or is just like a rubber? I think on my car will be easy to remove the front O/S wheel to get to the turbocharger.
  7. it goes into limp mode when I'm going up hill and over 3000 RPM. I have to do something. I was thinking to ask a garage to take the turbo off the car and clean it properly...I hope that will be less then £300
  8. Can I do this on a BKD engine? It seems difficult on this one.... Is it the same procedure? Thanks
  9. do anyone know where can I find an alarm horn H12 at a reasonable price?
  10. Yes, Flyerphil! That's the original one! This is the one I had on my car and I couldn't start the engine anymore yesterday morning! Just got rid of it!
  11. Do you know if the vanes can be cleaned or do I have to buy a new turbo? I don't want to drive like a mad man just to clean the vanes by burning the dirt. This is a ridiculous ideea I think. ) There should be services where they can take the turbo off the car and clean it properly.... Edit: Oh, you were right about the injectors. I've done a scan yesterday and all the injectors are just fine, perfect!
  12. Hi! I think the battery on my car has never been replaced. It was 7 years old ) Skoda recommend for my car a 61Ah-330A battery but to be honest I think this is not enough. Now I've got a 74Ah Varta and I think is brilliant. In the boot, on the left hand side of the spare wheel you will see a sticker. You can find the same sticker on the first page of the Skoda Owner Manual as well. Go to http://vag-codes.inf...ption-codes.pdf and check the codes to see what options do you have on your car. You can find in there the type of the battery as well. Yes, the starter motor is spinning faster now and the engine starts like a normal diesel engine. I'm happy now and I love my car! ) All I need now is a new A/C Compressor. Very expensive...
  13. Hi Flyerphil! I have good news! The "hard to start when hot" issue just disappear! I've got a brand new Varta battery for 90 pounds and now the engine starts fine. I will also change the starter motor because it has 110.000 miles now and a new one cost less then 200 pounds and easy to fit on the car! I hope this will help to solve your problems too!
  14. Thank you nick74 for your reply. I've got a brand new Varta battery, spin the engine a couple of times and everything is fine now.... The warm hard start issue just disappear. I will change the starter motor with a brand new one anyway to make sure everything is OK. Should be less then 200 quid and easy to change. Cheers!
  15. I drove yesterday evening 40 miles and everything was fine. In the morning I couldn't start it up. I hope this is not the common problem with the new Passat 2.0 L engines. You know....the injectors.... That's very expensive and I'll scrap the car rather than buy a new set of injectors....
