  1. Still learning the foibles of my new vRS that I collected on Friday. One is trying to get media files on my phone to play randomly. I select random and it plays the tracks randomly but as soon as I skip a track it reverts to playing the tracks in alphabetical order. It works perfectly in apple carplay mode. Any ideas? Also, I need to double tap the main beam lever forward twice to get main beam on. Is this normal?
  2. Thanks all. I had the DCC option on my last Octavia (vRS 245) and just left it in sport mode all the time! The car I’m looking at also has a sunroof and that is the main draw to it!!
  3. I’m looking at a year old vRS tomorrow that has the DCC option. Are there any stories of problems in the medium term regarding the dampers used? I’m looking to keep the car for a while so I’m just doing some research.
  4. Potentially looking to buy my 5th vRS in the next few months, second hand. I am wanting an estate in case we buy a dog in the near future but I was wondering if a hatchback would fit the bill to broaden my choice of cars. When I say dog it would be German shepherd sized.
  5. Thanks. Wonder how much less one with 60k miles at the end of the lease will be? Hopefully lots 😀
  6. Thanks for all the input. I’ll let my lease run till March then ask them for a buy it now price. Certainly worth changing the rear tyres then if I’m keeping it!
  7. My lease ends in June 2021. How early can you buy and ‘how worth it’ was it?
  8. That’s not a vRS 245 special edition. Wrong wheels.
  9. Mine is a red 245 Edition estate, manual with the fancy damplers and sunroof. I am thinking of buying it when the lease is up so the less it is worth, the better!!
  10. I’d ask what you paid to get an idea of my cars value. However I would bet mine is a bit leggier than yours! I’m on about 53000 miles on an 18 plate.
  11. There aren’t any in the Skoda website and only 1 on Autotrader. I’m not looking to buy but trying to gauge the value of mine. I thought that we would be startling to see the first leased cars hit the market as they were excellent value via that finance method. Maybe I’m a bit early?
  12. It’s a sealed system so if you are loosing coolant it is a leak. The leak may not be visible, just a few drips a day but there will be a leak somewhere. My vRS needed a trip to the dealers earlier this year. They put a pressure test on the engine to find out where the leak was. To my shame, I can’t remember where it was but it needed a new part!
  13. I have a vRS 245 estate and can get mid 40mpg when cruising at 65mph on a long work motorway trip. That drops to very low thirties when I am in more of a hurry on the motorway.
  14. Yep. It passes the test. Rough one way and smooth the other, more pronounced on the inside edge. Wonder if I can live with the thrum till after Christmas?
