  1. If you have left it in Danish, click on Kontakt; if you've used google translator, click on 'switch'.
  2. I thought alloy wheels were meant to be a lot lighter than steel wheels, so will there really be any great weight reduction between a 16" steel and an 18" alloy?
  3. This is from the Sunday Times: Volkswagen is expected to recall tens of thousands of cars in Britain this week after discovering two separate faults that could leave vehicles without power or lights. It is part of a global recall of more than 2.5m cars — one of the largest in the German company’s history. The majority of affected vehicles — about 1.7m — are thought to be in China; however, VW said about 60,000 cars were at risk in Britain. All Tiguan off-roaders produced between 2008 and mid-2011 have a faulty fuse, which could trip, leading to partial loss of lighting. In addition, owners of about 30,000 UK-registered models fitted with VW’s seven-speed DSG gearbox are expected to be asked to return their cars to a dealer so that the gearbox oil can be changed. Models affected include the Golf, Polo, Passat and Scirocco. The fault can result in a sudden loss of drive. VW UK said it was meeting Vosa, the body responsible for issuing recalls in this country, tomorrow. In the meantime, owners worried about the problems can either visit their dealer or call VW on 0800 083 3914.
  4. I didn't realise Norfolk was as hilly as that!
  5. My car doesn't work the way that silver1011 claims that his does. My mirrors fold when I lock the car and hold down the button on the fob, irrespective of the position selected on the rotary knob in the car. The rotary knob in the car folds the mirrors in when I turn it to the 'fold' position, although only below a certain speed. This seems to be the way it's meant to work, as described in the manual.
  6. I'm impressed by the speedy arrival of the Highways Agency - but shouldn't he be wearing hi-viz?
  7. The 'auto' bit is the clue! The scale changes (automatically) according to the type of road you are on. On minor urban roads it's 1:200, and it decreases (the distance shown around you position increases) according to the type of road - you see larger parts of the surrounding area on a motorway. If you want to change the scale yourself, you have to take it out of 'auto' mode.
  8. The sliding scale shows the scale currently being viewed on screen.
  9. Doesn't the type of radio depend on the trim level you specify? A Greenline S will get a different radio from a Greenline Elegance.
  10. According to the interior features, it's even still got the umbrella!
  11. Obviously none of you understand the purpose of the Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (according to some on these forums). When I questioned its function after it failed to light up for me after a similar incident, I was told in another thread that it wouldn't always record the pressure change, unless you checked your tyre pressures on a regular basis! So obviously yet again in these instances it's not the system that's at fault, it's your expectations!
  12. From that thing called the manual: Tourist light This mode makes it possible to drive in countries with opposing traffic system, driving on the left/right, without dazzling the oncoming vehicles. When the mode “tourist light” is active, the above mentioned modes and the side to side swivel of the headlights is deactivated. The mode “tourist light” is activated/deactivated via the information display in the menu: ? Settings ? Travel mode ? Off ? Switched on
  13. Look at the Orange Wheels website. You can get around £8k off a brand new A6.
  14. Maybe we should go back to the starting handle, so that you don't accidentally start the car by turning the ignition key too far!
