Hi, Greetings from Poland from Octavia Club Polska (www.octaviaclub.pl). >>Many<< of us here in Poland have problems with strange noise from the side of engine in Octavia's TDI. It is only in ASV (tdi 81kw/110bhp) made in 2004. You can hear it when the engine speed is dropping after acceleration. Our Polish dealers and importer (Skoda Auto Polska (Poland)) are not able and do not want to help us. They pretend that there is no problem but actually there is!!! And since we have guarantee we are not able to repair it on our own. The noise seems to be made by turbo because the sound of it is much louder after taking off the part of intake and filter box. We also suspected a flywheel demage or a bad ECU software but they are O'K. So it looks like turbo problem but we do not know the exact reason... Do you have the same problem with TDI ASV '04? Thanx

Now it is only red I on Golf 100PD it used to be DI on older versions.

It's standard. You can find also DI on Octavia 4x4 100PD.

Come on! I've written once that I was not precise in that post. I put red 'I' but I could also put green blue or whatever... I just meant that the intercooler is in every TDI engine (not like in TD). It is also in 90bhp TDI which is actually with the black 'I' I didn't mean that 'I' stands for Intercooler!!!

Yes - you are wrigt of course! I was not precise. I meant that if you can see TDI-sign on a car you can be sure that there is an intercooler inside.

:eek: Oh my god! There is an intercooler in every TDI. The >>I<<< letter actually means that there is an intercooler on board.

Hi! I put EBC Greenstuff with stock discs and killed them very fast (discs). :( It started shaking. Remember that you should always put new pads when you change discs. I tkink it's better to change pads and discs at the same time or live both stock.

Hi! It was remapped here: http://www.tdi-tuning.pl (web is only in Polish :( ) It is probably one of the best in Poland, I think. I will have custom exhaust installed next Wednesday. I belive I will be able to show you some pics and dyno results (before and after). I also plan to install bigger intercooler (like in VAG's 150PD) this Winter.

Hello! I have Octavia TDI 110 (remapped). I've made more than 40.000 miles with K&N filter and there is no problems with MAF. Actually I checked it last Friday with Vag-com and everything is perfect with it. Greetings from Poland!
