Thanks for the reply. When you say the safety catch you mean remove the complete bonnet handle altogether? So when I lift the handle in drivers compartment the bonnet can be lifted without having to do anything else?Any chance of a picture if you have a spare min? Cheers

Hello everyone. I have a 2012 octy VRS and have bought the Octavia II 09-12 Facelift - racing badgeless grille in RS Honeycomb design - KI-R from Superskoda. Just about to start fitting and realised about the bonnet release mechanism. Has anyone fitted one of these grilles to their car and can you still open the bonnet? It says so on their website but I really can't see how?! The handle ends up sticking out of the grille on my oem grill when opening. I hope someone knows and can help as have just paid to have it painted and hope it doesn't need modifying. If anyone has any info or guidance that would be greatly appreciated. After finding this post last night I had a look this morning and you are correct Brimma, reverse light is a bulb. Not sure why but it is. I live near Allums butchers in Altofts Rich. I usually drive my Mrs to work at Pinderfields around that time. Sent from my Galaxy Note 3

Best mention they are not standard. Got them from Dectane as Silver1011 posted. They were pricey but worth it. The whole clusters are LED so includes indicators, reverse, running and brake lights Sent from my Galaxy Note 3

I have just checked out longlife.co.uk and have requested a quote. Looks professional and they have a lifetime warranty on all of their exhausts, plus interest free finance! Too good to be true? Its got to be better than the ebay jobby I was looking at lol. Cheers blackspaven

Seen this on ebay and wondered what peoples thoughts are? http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649 I think it looks good but has anyone got any experience with this / fitted one? Is it a cheap and nasty? I have seen in other posts people have had custom exhausts made but I don't really have the pleasure tokens for that at the mo.

Each to there own I suppose! I think it looks really classy, bit more expensive looking and suits the interior perfect. I will try and get some pics posted this week. I just mentioned it as it was never an option, I thought I was getting the silver trim (which I was happy with) but was pleasantly suprised! Glad to hear your enjoying yours. Just got mine and love it to pieces! Cant wait to reach that mileage so I can start putting my toe down! Still unsure if I made the right choice with the DSG. Its definately a smooth ride though!

Hi Ed, I am new hear and have also just bought a new Octavia VRS Estate. I pick mine up tomorrow. I wanted to ask what colour trim came with your car? The trim I had seen in all 2010/2011 VRS models and on the website and brochure was a brushed aluminium / silver trim. I went to sign the papers on Tuesday and view my car and saw that the trim was black carbon fiber effect. I am not complaining as it looks very cool but I can not find a picture or reference to this colour trim anywhere and my VRS was the only car that came in with this colour! The guy at the showroom thinks it may be part of the leather pack and so I was wondering if you have the same? Hope you are enjoying your new skoda! I can not wait!! ATB, Rich
