  1. i had this only way was new cover. off german ebay brand new in box £65 quid
  2. right all is not lost i have a BLT ibiza and have cured this warm up idle issue. basically betwee SOI maps for 61c and 65c the timing has some weird values for idle. this issue usually starts when temp gauge around 70c so is switching between maps as car actually around 60c all i did was make the 61c and 65c SOI maps the same and prob cured :-) Theres around a degree difference in the SOI SOI = start of injection
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-VW-FRONT-SUSPENSION-BUSH-TOOL-VW-POLO-SEAT-CORDOBA-SKODA-FABIA-BUSH-REMOVAL-/331469086538?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4d2d18df4a this tool is your friend
  4. before this gets silly steve do 2 tests disconnect injector loom do a cold start cranking rpm read out then when fully hot do the same. if the hot is not above 250rpm then the ecu will allow 8 revolutions then inject a large amount of fuel to start engine. Theres a TSB on sachs website about this, usual cause is the starter getting old so when hot dosent spin at same rate.
  5. TBH its prob the aliminium washers on the banjo have gone out of shape and are leaking. the bottom one fits into a machined area on caliper and when i changed both rear calipers had similar issue as washer wasnt round anymore. vw dont supply the washers on there own, but can be bought from a hose place
  6. im wondering if the dash has lost its milage calibration code so thinks its got a 5 sp box etc
  7. hmmmmmm HEL say no more, 3 weeks for a turbo oil line they had in stock :-( then was wrong
  8. sounds like a speed sensor issue as speedo reading taken from left front wheel. i wonder if bearing on way out and giving silly readings vcds will show what speed in kmh car thinks its doing Is the self locking still working above 5mph
  9. Unlikely to have seized into console, the bolt usually seizes into steel sleeve in front wishbone bush, so as you unwind your actually pulling front bush out too. Have done 3 like this now all drivers side, get some genuine plus gas in there, keep soaking it for a few days and it will come out as eventually the sleeve gives up and allows bolt out on its own.
  10. looks like the seal has failed in rack poss coincidence
  11. check the heater plug relay plug has been clipped in tight, its on inner wing side of battery and if battery is changed easily forget to reconnect
