  1. Definitely red! Nice contrast and goes with the calipers! Paul
  2. Well here a my tints. Very happy with how they look. Maybe not the best pictures but get the idea hopefully. Paul
  3. Thanks. Just on the way to collect it after getting some tints added. Yes you will be right. Great dealer to do business with. Paul
  4. This may or may not help. I have the Metal Grey with the black pack but it's an estate. There is also a Metal Grey thread somewhere in this section. Hope that helps. Paul
  5. How much is the sunset glass - £140? I am getting mine done tomorrow for £160 by a local tinting place (Moray Tints - highly recommended!) as when I saw the sunset glass in the showroom it wasn't dark enough. At the end of the day it is down to personal preference. I am getting mine done to keep the car cooler for the dog and also becuase I think it will look the dogs b******* on my Metal Grey estate with black pack! Thinking out loud though.....if they come as factory fit then insurance will not need to be changed as it is standard fit however if being done aftermarket then it should be declared and a likely increase in your premium occurs...how does having it fitted at the factory or by an aftermarket company affect whther your premium should be increased? Paul
  6. My Metal Grey estate arrived in less than 12 weeks. Ordered 1st July and picked up 20th September. Loving it! To be honest I was toying over the Metal or Meteor greys but having seen the Meteor in the flesh I decided against it and plumped for the Metal. I think the Metal Grey goes better with the alloys. Just my opinion and to be honest the Meteor Grey is growing on me.... Paul
  7. There are a few options with one or two being mentioned (ebay, superskoda). I have bought some mats, flaps and the rubber boot liner from http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/. You can get flaps for about 13euros from http://www.skodapartsireland.ie/ but I can't see stock for Octavia front flaps currently. Postage does bump it all up though. Hope that helps. Paul
  8. Thought I would add mine to the mix. This was it on the day of collection. Paul
  9. Sat waiting for my finance to go through. Just wanna get in it and drive it! Paul
  10. Sorry to potentially rub it in but confirmed a Saturday pick-up for my vRS estate! Think I worked it out as a 12-13 week process from ordering to delivery. When I originally ordered I was told to expect a January delivery latest. Paul
  11. In my case it has been 12 weeks. Ordered 1st July and called the dealer today to be told that it will hopefully be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed!!). I order a VRS Tdi Estate in Grey Grey with Black Pack, Pano sunroof, red stitching and spare wheel. Hoping I get the call from the dealer tomorrow telling me its in! Paul
  12. A nice spec! As mentioned I have the sun roof and have also specced the spare, black pack and red interior. I feel it will look better against the grey exterior rather than the white. Also looks a bit sportier inside! I am adding my own version of a winter kit by buying mudflaps, rubber floor mats and a boot liner. I have a mad springer spaniel so plenty of muddy walks and found changing the floor mats over October to April potentially kept the carpet mats looking pristine! I will also get window tinting done third party like I have on my current vRS for the benefit of the dog during summer. Many thanks for the offer of photos. I am sure you will be posting plenty more if you manage to tear yourself out of the drivers seat! I have opted for the diesel this time around but know what a great petrol engine VAG produce from driving a couple the last 4 years (previous car was a 59 plate Cupra). Paul
  13. Loving the metal grey. Looks a similar spec to mine; metal grey, sun roof. Has yours got the red interior? I couldn't tell. Makes me REALLY. Excited for mine. It was apparently BW36 which was last Monday that it was starting to get built! Paul
  14. Looks good. As mentioned by a couple, not a big fan of the wheels but each to their own Out of interest, does anybody know what suspension/set-up they are using? Paul
  15. Another one here for Rearguards having fitted one to my Mk vRS, saved a few scratches from the dog! Sorry if this has been answered, but where has FamousAfroJay bought his from? Is it from SuperSkoda/the one offered by Skoda? Paul
