  1. Hi,my girlfriend was driving and slowing down at a junction when the hospital bus hit it in drive, the bus driver was a twenty year old who had only been in the job a week, don't know about ballast weights ,it's a well known company in my area with a good reputation that did the work and I am very happy with the work ,no mechanical problems only bodywork which was a relief, had it back a week and still drives like new,I have fully comp insurance with a yearly extended warranty cover with Skoda which is an extra £200 a year but worth it in my opinion incase or any engine and gearbox problems,I had to claim for new water pump etc a couple of years ago,me and girlfriend love driving this car and in 6 years of ownership except water pump have had zero issues, thanks.
  2. All fixed now,all replaced brand new just waiting to get the strips done Friday,I'm so glad it wasn't a right off as it is low mileage 25000 I've had it from new, never been thrashed much,me and girlfriend love this car.
  3. Hi, my vrs 62 plate cthe had the same problem (the skoda tech guy said water pump and the belts) luckily had one month of my extended warranty left so nothing to pay and no problems since, had it done about three months ago, incidentally I have extended the warranty again for another year from skoda for£176 for the year for piece of mind as me and girlfriend love the car and want to keep it for many years as it's only done 20k mileage. (only found out about the problem as loud constant noise near the engine) he said something to do with the supercharger as well)
  4. As I love my vrs I am tempted to buy another one for the girlfriend and dealer is local to me but I really don't like red cars(this will go very quickly)I have the green one with every extra and cobra sports exhaust ,i could always wrap it.
  5. Hi thanks for the advice (I won't risk stage one until my 2+years warranty has expired then I might take a chance when others on here have had it done successfully as car is running very well)but h&r rarb (front and back)I will have done, I presume this does not effect my warranty. Many thanks leobella.
  6. Hi,I am after some advice please(I don't know much about cars but I love my vrs)I have a late 2012 cthe vrs(the loud green one)standard but with cobra sports catback non resonated exhaust (which I am very happy with)and new bulbs all round and over 2 years warranty left as I got an extended one,I am wanting to do a few mods,I have seen on here about stage 1 tuning boxes(bluespark and tmc)but I was looking at superchips website and they do a bluefin hand held unit that you do a stage 1 via obd for vw group vehicles (very easy to do) included cars are skoda fabia vrs twincharger(2010-2015)price is £499. Anyone had this done I have seen various YouTube clips and the reviews look OK and with a warranty available and you are able to put the original map back at anytime for servicing etc. Also thinking about h & r rarb that people on this site recommend (is it worth getting front and back or back only)also I have seen a forge motorsports induction kit (what does it do and if I do a stage one will I need it or does it make any difference to performance or sound as my car sounds very good with my new exhaust already. My car has only done 13k and is very fast and uses no oil and is a joy to drive and has had no problems whatsoever with it since new so is it worth me doing any of the above, I don't mind spending the money if I notice the difference for the better, any help would be appreciated (many thanks leobella).
  7. Hi, I have a cthe 2012 fabia vrs and today had a new catback exhaust (non resonated fitted by cobra sports which is great) I have a standard air filter but when in a service station toilet having a pee I saw a poster from k & N filters saying you can get up to 10% better performance with these (is this true / will it make any difference when I get my car serviced next to buy one of these filters to give to my dealer to fit when doing Service or is it something that is very minimal and hardly worth it) many thanks.
  8. Hi,I am so glad I bought this car and you don't see many around Which is a good thing IMHO.
  9. Hi.Just been to cobra sports in Sheffield today to have my new exhaust fitted which is great, car uses no oil and 8 hour round trip today with no back pain and a nice comfortable drive, did 454 Miles to a tank of 99 tesco fuel and sat nav with traffic updates and bluetooth worked perfect (great car). And I forgot to mention it goes very quick my cthe.
  10. Hi, just been to cobra sports in Sheffield today to get my new exhaust fitted which is great and I live in brighton and it is 4 hour drive each way and 227 each way and I have just done it on one full tank (£50 of tesco 99 fuel)454 Miles on one full tank/usually get 300 only with mostly town driving. (Ps mainly 50 speed limit on M1)and drove 60-70 at other times/virtual all motorway (Very Happy)I thought it would cost £80 on fuel.
  11. Getting mine done with cobra sport on Friday (can't wait ha ha)
  12. The catback vrs exhaust is now on the cobra sports website I am booked in on the 15\5\2015 to have it fitted by them.£548 with free fitting. (shame it will cost me £70 approx in fuel from Brighton but with the lifetime guarantee they give it will be better than the local cowboys around here doing it and I can give the vrs a long ride.8 hour round trip.140 mph all the way in s mode. ha ha.
