  1. If your 2014 car is the same as my 2016 one then the DRL and main beam are two different filaments in the same H15 bulb. Perhaps there's a loose wire in the connection block. It's not a great piece of engineering.
  2. I have the 125PS 1.4 with 7-speed DSG. I know what you mean - that downshift is noticeable, though in my case I don't find it especially unpleasant or disconcerting. Please do let us know what they have to say about it on 22nd.
  3. Well, that's one way to spend most of Saturday...
  4. What did you use? How are the high=beams? The ones I tried were so poor on high-beam as to be dangerous.
  5. Those H15s and the arrangement of the sockets are a nightmare. Swapping the bulbs is murder. I broke the connector off my Rapid. Bloody stupid thing. Shamefacedly returned to the dealer with a self-broken, 2-week-old Rapid, which they kindly fixed FoC.
  6. All fitted under warranty. All bulbs shiny again (though no NSR fog light, of course).
  7. If you want something a bit lower, @Copey is your man!
  8. Not sure exactly. 25-30mm maybe? Not too radical, but a vast improvement in appearance. There are pics of it around the place for you to check out.
  9. I had mine lowered on OEM lowering springs before delivery. I like them; it's a decent compromise.
  10. So the bulb holder's faulty and will be replaced on Tuesday under warranty. The MFD was complaining of the NSR fog lamp not working. It shouldn't be working! There should be only a OSR fog lamp (though I'll bet it's only a bit in a CU somewhere - the NSR bulb is a twin filament jobbie). In fact, the NSF fog lamp had become unplugged, of which the MFD wotted not... Confusion all round.
  11. Indeed so, but at this junction, as with many others in greater Manchester, the exceedingly worn out road markings explicitly set up passenger-side-to-passenger-side passing. You, I and the highway code may disagree, but this is generally the situation on the ground in this region.
  12. This cyclist seems to have a very poor sense of self-preservation. Completely ignored a segregated bus/taxi/cycle lane to mix it up with three lanes of live, regular traffic. And the black Vito taxi just got aggressive. Learner driving.
