  1. Follow up - Arnold took the car in but couldn't sort it. They sent it Skoda who fixed it within a couple of hours. I called Skoda to ask what had been done and the lady on the phone said it just needed reset. We tried that with vagcom and it just came right back, so I'm not sure I buy it. Main thing is it's sorted! Sorry there's not more info to help anyone else with a similar fault. Cheers for the input y'all
  2. I figured the software issue was a long shot on such an old car tbh. It's just the thought of arguing with Arnold and them having the car for ages. I don't see them as being able to sort it I'd imagine it'll need to go to Skoda etc etc. But ye. If there's nothing obvious I'll take it to them next week and see
  3. Good shout I'll explore that. I just got the car 3 weeks back and it's still under Arnold's warranty. I'd rather not have to deal with them but at least there's some sort of back up plan. I might nip by Skoda and ask if there's an update and if it's free also

  5. 2012 blackline here's the scan which has the part numbers software version etc -
  6. Ye, but I think they wouldn't make a difference in this case. Though I'm tempted to overinflate them to see if it trips it back to life or some such mumbo jumbo
  7. That's the first place I looked but not sure what it's actually telling me. A software update is required maybe?
  8. Cheers for the reply dude I found the same or very similar information, the light popped on at random whilst driving so I guess that leaves wiring? But other than the reset button I haven't a clue where to look. I'm presuming sensors and rings are fine as there's no abs or TC lights on
  9. Hey all, wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge on what may be causing my issue. A few days ago my tyre pressure light came on. It's refusing to reset. A local friendly vagcom owner scanned the car and found - 01325 control module for tire pressure monitoring (j502) 004 - no signal It won't clear/comes back immediately. Before I go down the garage route can anyone shed light on what may be the cause? Many thanks
  10. It might well be. Advantage to a secondary/leisure battery is that it can run your fridge while the car is off as well with no fears of draining the drive battery. To fit it in the bongo I got a smart/split relay. This basically detects the voltage going to the drive battery and when there's enough in it it will spill over and charge the leisure battery. The slightly more complicated bit is taking the power from the leisure battery rather than the drive battery. In the bongo this was simply a case of running a wire from the leisure battery to the correct fuses (stereo etc) and I'd imagine would be the same in any vehicle. So in short you need a place to mount the leisure battery. A smart split charging relay. A deep cycle battery. And a little wiring to run what you need.
  11. Haven't installed on a superb but have done on a Bongo so if you want some general info I can help you out?
  12. Hey all, been donkeys since I've been here! Just came back to a Skoda (2015 Superb) Nothing terribly exciting. Currently have a bugeye WRX but after a few repairs and a baby decided I need reliable affordable motoring. Hello nearly new Skoda!
  13. Do you happen to still have the high pressure power steering pipe? I'm just down/up/along in Dundee so collection aint an issue
