  1. Thanks for your replies, Roottoot, good idea on using the rear fog as additional light, I hadn't thought of that. Skoda1982, it is legal to have 2 and it would be my preference. On my Octavia I was able to code them both to be on.
  2. I have the basic tail light cluster so LED tail/brake and incandescent w16w indicator in the main outer clusters and just the w16w reversing light in the inner clusters. My question is whether the red part of the inner cluster has a LED present but not activated or if it is just empty? I have inspected the rear of the cluster under the inspection panel in the tailgate internal cover and it does look like a cable enters the housing. I could just try to activate the lighting channels (23/24) but just asking to see if the knowledge is out there first. I have seen threads/youtube media about extending the functionality of the inner lights for use as brake lights or DRLs that are already active but nothing covering this Other observations for info: The reversing lights are woeful, little more than marker lights and I have fitted LEDs that provide some improvement The rear fog light in the bumper has an empty lens on the other side so clearly market specific and no option to activate both sides
  3. I have a result. The long coding was the answer. Long coding A5 > Byte 9 > Bit 0-1 Configuration for lane departure warning Kl15, select 03 - Last_setting. I'm puzzled why you have had no joy with VCDS, maybe it was too early in its development for this car when you tried? There is still a warning saying the long coding helper in VCDS is still in development. Thanks for your interest in this topic. It does look like OBD11 is a lot easier to use than VCDS, certainly for coding in options /activating features
  4. Hi Stefan, I have the HEX-V2 so it is suitable for the latest cars. I plan to plug in again and take a look tonight
  5. I don't know whether this is the best place to post or whether the VCDS forum or even the Kamiq forum for greater exposure, the Scala forum seems relatively quiet? I've been on Briskoda for a long time but am new to Scala. I have successfully coded a few improvements generally without issue, cornering fogs, high beam assist, change conv indicator setting, audible ack on lock/unlock, boot relock delay, staging, LED reversing bulbs, etc Anyhow, to the question. I have already set Lane Assist to adaptive lane guidance in the long coding by changing point of intervention from 'late' to 'early setting by menu'. However I was unable to find the memory setting in the long coding, specifically the change 'Perso_HC' from Activated to Last Setting so I still have the problem of it all reverting to being on every time I restart the car, whatever state I left it in. I like the function but want to turn it on when it suits me and the type of driving I'm doing. However, I ran an ADP map on the A5 module and found these adaptations which may or may not be where my answer lies: IDE10407-Personalization of intervention moment at T. 15 on - set to last setting IDE10870-Switch-on condition: lane depart. warn. - set to on (setting via menu) These settings though I would have thought should give me the settings I want? Is this likely to be something that may have changed in 2021 on models or setting it to adaptive lane guidance has activated these settings in adaptations? One final thing I found later is a reference to A5 long coding: A5 > Byte 9 > Bit 0-1 03 Configuration_for_lane_departure_warning_Kl15, needs to be set to Last_setting I need to go and have a look at these and see what options are available on these adaptations and whether this long coding is available but thought it may be worth asking the question first if the knowledge is out there Thanks
