Thanks guys, I will check the brake discs and maybe even replace them. Potentially reseal the calipers and I'm for sure changing the cv ASAP, hopefully this weekend. Hopefully it all come apart. If no change I'll be back for more haha cheers 👍

swoggles started following New headlight switch? , Vibrations/pulsing on brakes and Electric windows not working.

OK, so I'm getting a sort of pulsing under braking from the brake pedal. But sometimes it's a full on vibration of the brake pedal and steering wheel. Sometimes on brakes it pulls left, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes under hard braking the pedal drops further than normal, related? Warped discs maybe? Think the fronts might be binding a little. I have a cv boot that's in 3 pieces, could the cv be doing this? I also feel the steering is slightly heavier than I think it should be, might be nothing to do with this fault unless maybe is Bush related. Anyway if anyone has experienced this and can suggest anything it would be real useful. Cheers legends.

Yea correct, doesn't work with key in the door at all. OK so it's just the three torx bolts and send you the whole unit? Motor with module?
-
Hmm, any ideas then? Not being an auto electrician I'm running out of ideas. Convenience module? Fuses are good, wiring seems OK,motors do work when they actually have power. Switch seems OK as all the switches don't work rather than one part of the system.

Had a poke with the meter. There's 11.4v on that black blue wire, pin 8 on the plug. There's 12volt to pin 2(red and white wire). Also 12 volt on the second black blue, on the plug with just 2 wires (black blue, black white). So it's not a broken wire right?
-
I'll do these tests see what I have. If no good I'll message you Monday. Cheers for your advice so far 👍
-
If i dont have 12v on there and fuse is good, whats that mean? Motors no good? Neither of them are working on any switch or key in the door opening closing.
-
It worked once. Awesome I will check that Monday at work. Thanks. Are you the guy who fixes window motors? Have to send you mine if it the problem.
-
On the motor there are two plugs. One has 2 wires the other something like 8 yea. Red and white wire to blue yellow.

Awesome cheers man I'll have to give him a shout. The wiring is ok I think and the motors worked perfectly once I bridged those cables. Went up down up down, only once I removed the key and locked it did it not work. Hence me thinking something with convenience module, that controls windows as well?

Hello guys and girls. Vrs front electric windows not working!! They intermittently worked when I bought the car, heavy rain made them stop working. Currently the switches do nothing, both sides. Poked around with a voltmeter and the door has power to it. All other function's work, mirrors, door lock/unlock buttons. Bridged 12v to pin 5 on the plug on the motor and it was alive again until removing the key and locking the car. So motors and switches do work but don't seem to be sending signals. Is this classic convenience module problems? Want some advice before I purchase one. Thanks.

I have seen this video but I don't want to take it apart and it break on me. Then I can't drive to work. Hoped to get a new part I could just plug and go. I thought maybe I could get a lhd version and move the parts onto my current one? But again if it goes wrong I can't drive to work.

Hi guys. My headlight switch is a bit buggered I think. It always operates the headlights but needs to be manipulated a bit so the dash lights come on. Also randomly turns dash lights off and dimmer doesn't work. So I want a new one but I can only find lhd ones at the minute on autodoc. Any ideas where I can get a rhd version? Skoda parts said 370 quid hahaha had a good chuckle at that. Thanks guys

I didn't mess anything up thankfully. But good advice guys thanks 👍🏻 off to eBay to find some calipers.
