  1. I would guess the other guy has said 'I'm getting married, this wasn't supposed to be anything serious'. And she's thought, ok, I'll stick with my boyfriend until someone else comes along You will never trust her and tbh I don't think she deserves that trust either

  8. It's horrible to say, but move on, I had a girlfriend for 2 years, okay she never cheated on me (I had my suspicions) but she always flirted with guys behind my back, caught her doing that 3 times and it took 3 times to realise she didn't give a **** about me and she was just using me, it didn't occur to me until later that she clearly didn't have any sort of "love" feeling towards me, if she did why would she flirt with other guys behind my back?

  9. Well collected this "beast", or as we are calling it "a computer on wheels" two days ago and have now done 200 miles. All I can say is the car is amazing. The tech bits: "L&K 220TSI DSG, with Rear Camera, Spare Wheel, Paddles, Smart Light Assist, Rear Wiper, Backrest Release, Heated Washers, Mud Flaps, Traffic Assist" The engine is smooth and powerful and likes to go and I mean go. Coming from a 11 year old Mondeo the change is a big learning curve. Will be happy once all the bedding in has been done, as it sounds a little "exhaust blowy" when the engine is cold but is fine once warm. Attached are some pictures from this morning.

  11. Very good choice there. I miss my TFSI. Keep us posted on how you get on. The engine bay will look great. My routine for them is the same as Karl's. I'm not one for a pressure washer in the engine bay. With a decent quality APC it won't take long to cut through all that.

  12. Nice! Love the colour! As for the engine bay, some diluted APC, various detailing brushes & plenty of MF cloths & then protect with a trim dressing of your choice will have that looking spot on! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

  14. Driving back from Devon today, overtaking the fast moving traffic in the right hand lane (the other two lanes were, the cars I were overtaking). had a person (I did have other choice words at the time) tailgate me and flashing the lights, I finishing passing the cars and then move in, he decided to do his bully boy tactics with the car that was in front of me, lights, horn and hand signals but he took the time to look he may have noticed what I did, it was an unmarked police car. lets say lots of blue lights and I would imagine a stern telling off. made my day.

  17. Unforgiveness is like letting someone else live rent free in your head!! Wether you choose to give it a go or say your goodbyes and move on you will still need to find away of letting go. I've counselled so many people who have unconsciously carried that unforgivness, hurt and mistrust into every relationship they went on to have. It's not easy and is most certainly a process, but certainly one you need to face and start finding a way through. Message me if I can be any help or point you to someone who could nearer to yourself.

  18. As promised, pictures of how I fitted the mesh to the grille. Simply trimmed and bent over the edges then glued it down with a weight on the mesh. Also with Brands approaching I remembered that my tow eye is buggered. Both the thread on the eye and on the car are gone, I've also noticed the hard pipe kit is in the way quite a bit too. So I thought I'd quickly make one up on lunch. Bumper off Quickly spray painted the number plate brackets and removed the tiny number plate that was behind the main plate still lol (couldn't be bothered to remove the old sticky tape lol ) Thread was ground down and the tow eye was cut Drilled an 8mm hole through the part on the car inserted the tow eye and marked and drilled. Then drilled another 8mm hole at the end going vertical. Cut the end of some old ratchet strapping and folded it over and used a huge penny washer to sandwich it together when bolting it up, and there we have it Tested it too by being towed around the yard and seemed to work pretty well, even survived some rather jerky action

Did some stuff today, got rid of the remains of the glue in the roof from removing the insulation, Removed rear bumper as I wanted to paint a bit more of the diffuser ,as I can sometimes see unpainted bits where I couldn't quite get the brush in when I painted it with the bumper on. Also gave the crash bar a quick coat, and removed another 1kg off bootlid Some pics Before After Also handily found the n/r light unit had started to melt where a bulb had gone, so new unit and bulbs on there way

  29. This goes back to my point that the out campaign seem to think that all other countries want to surrender their national autonomy to Brussels and it's only the plucky English standing up for their own. It would take a UK government that wanted to give these things up AND it would need a similarly minded government in the 27 other countries to achieve those wild claims scribbler set out. They're marked as wrong because no one in Europe wants to give these things up. There are plenty though who realise that pooled sovereignty in certain areas makes a lot of sense. We're all Europeans and sharing decision making in certain areas is just common sense. Trimming bureaucracy and waste makes sense too, but that's not a problem confined to the EU. 30. It's a fantastic looking car with superb spec. Love the heated rear seats and all of the other options. I found mine on Pistonheads in November and the car (Manual diesel hatch) with a similar spec and lower mileage was a little lower on price - message me if any details would help? For it was my ad I would trumpet the fact that the car has such a fantastic spec. It's really hard to find as so many were ordered on 0% deals and as company cars with zero options. Good luck!

Good luck, and as I have said previously it will be like wading through treacle at times but don't give up if only to avoid future loss of life but also to get some justice for yourself and your weeman. Once again let me say that you are handling this admirably and surely an inspiration for many in dealing with such issues.

  33. There is always a but... Sorry if there is grammer/spelling mistakes - english is not my native language. People always seems to think that high octane fuel is some sort of rocket fuel that will make their car into a Le Mans racer. I'm actually a SAAB nutcase that has turned to Skoda for everyday driving, but in the past many years I have been around high performance turbo charged cars like the 9-3 Viggen and the discussions about high octane has been a hot topic all too often. So the facts.. 1.) the octane rating is not a "energy" classification, but an "anti-knock" rating. Engine knocking if very common on turbo charged cars ( like the TSI ) and occours when the fuel self-ignite before the spark plugs was suppose to ignite the fuel. Remember this is combustion engines, not explotion egines - but when knocking occour a small explotion is really what happens and this is while the pistons is still moving upwards toward the upper dead point. The self-ignition of the fuel hammers on the pistons trying to make them go down while they are moving upwards. This can be heard as a ping and shaking. Modern cars today have knocking sensors, early types was fitted on the engine block and later types often has electronics where this function is placed with the igntion coils and spark plugs. Fuel self-ignition can be caused by soot deposits in the engine ( starting to glow ) - but on turbo charged cars the compression ( the turbo compresses the intake air ) is high and often too hot because the intercoolers are to small to cool down the intake air to proper levels. Keep in mind that the air after the turbo charger can reach temperatures in the 600-800 degree celcious area. Hot air contains less oxygen molocules than cold air, hence the intercooler. Hot intake air also contributes to a hotter combustion making it more prone to knocking. As far as I can tell the 1.2 TSI 110 HP has a compression ratio at 10.5:1 which is actually pretty high and likely why it is so strong ( high torqued from 1400 rpm ) even at lower revs. Engine management is able to "sense" the type of fuel you put on the car, by detecting when the engine starts to knock. When this occours engine management will force the turbo pressure down to precent further knocking since this can damage the engine, even knock a hole in a piston if severe enough. Back to the but...self-ignition temperature of regular fuel 450-550 °C, Super fuel 480-700 °C The higher torque demanded, the higher temperature, higher turbo pressure, hotter air.. So if you got a heavy foot, running on hot summer days or just like to cruise at low revs... high octane fuel might not be a bad choice or a waste of money. Since gaosline in it self has a octane number around 60, its required to add "something" with very high ocatane rating - in the old days MTBE ( very toxic ) and now likely ethanol or isopropanol. The drawback to this is that the higher octane additives has less energy when burned, so 1 liter of RON 95 will in most cases contain more energy than 1 Liter 99 RON. Many people can't grasp howcome their car often has better millage on 99 Octane fuel than 95. This is in most cases caused because the fuel is put better to use, since the engine can reach higher torque at low revs without knocking, pulling every inch of energy out of the fuel where the 95 or 92 octane fuel would not allow the engine to do the same hence wasting fuel, demanding higher revs for the same performance and more fuel. In theory and put to the test, I believe that the 1.2 TSI 110 HP might deliver 5-10 HP more on high ocantane than on 95 - but only in the "extremes". Meaning at low revs your would meassure some amount of higher torque and on high revs some amount of higher horse powers. On the 9-3 Viggen with it's 2.3L High performance turbo charged engine there was a clear difference on hot summerdays when running high octane. I would not expect the same of the rather small 1.2 TSI. My best guess would be better milage with the same driving style. I hope this makes some sort of sense :-)

  34. The other question for lichfielddriver is this.... Was it bought from a Skoda dealership as new or from a Skoda dealer / somewhere else as a used vehicle. If it was bought used there is the possibility that someone at some point has badged a normal 1.6 diesel as a greenline to make it more desirable.

  36. Thanks. Yes it's typical of the Early Japanese cars but I like it. Picked it up today. Fully loaded interior is just excellent. Has a 10 speaker Mark Levinson sound system which only the Premier edition gets. The sound is out of this world. It was a great drive back to Bournemouth (30 miles). In town it was on full electric with occasional engine to get up to speed. On the motorway it was both because of 70mph but it was showing an instant mpg reading of 60.6. When I got back ( that was staying in normal mode). I did give it a quick try in Sport mode. The throttle response is sharp and instant and the steering stiffens up,quite a good drive especially for overtaking. Nice full leather interior and the seats are very comfortable. Still no noticeable hard suspension on this. Just trying to get to know what all the switches and buttons do at the moment. Trying to pair my iPhone with it was a bit confusing but did it in the end. There's a lot of menus on the flip up screen. Otherwise pleased. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  37. Sure ...This engine is from Toyota Glanza V it's 4e-fte 1.3L turbo charged engine The following link is for engine full specifications from Ehow site http://www.ehow.com/list_7491981_4efte-engine-specifications.html Okay about my swap it was a little bit difficult to be honest because I make custom mounts without making major modification in Felicia engine bay I make only three 8mm hole's in gearbox side & four hole's in the chassis in other side to fit engine mount & luckily Skoda rear gearbox mount fit in Toyota gearbox after lengthened with spacer Ohh yeah I remove the rear seat heater duct to place gearbox stick mechanism & make small slot in car floor to pass shifter cable's Sorry if somehow my english is bad

  41. It is gutting, but you have to ask yourself - given the trust was broken once, allegedly because of your job, can you say 100% that all trust can be reinstated and never have a nagging doubt while you are still doing your job? Honestly i think both of you would be better off to walk away. You can forgive her and stay friends or whatever but clearly a relationship isnt going to suit you as a couple if she has had her head turned once already..
