Enjoy, it seems as if some cars are coming faster than predicted, hope yours is one of those.
  2. There was one in the boot of my car when I collected it, I’ve charged the car in rain a few times and not felt the need to install it. Also, as said above, it doesn’t allow CCS plugs through.
  3. Try one of these, I’ve used one to get at nuts etc down the back of an engine or in vey confined spaces. https://www.halfords.com/tools/hand-tools/all-hand-tools/rolson-led-claw%2Fmagnetic-pick-up-tool-710299.html
  4. Just done this, great improvement, thanks!
  5. I got mine 2 weeks ago, I’m impressed with it. Definitely a bit more sprightly than an 80, springs are firmer than standard in Normal mode, haven’t tried Sport yet. I checked the tyre pressures at the weekend, 2.3bar all round but meant to be 2.7 so added some air and the car feels better around, slightly less firm which is weird!
  6. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I couldn’t find anything though. I’ve just moved from a Superb to an Enyaq and the App for the Enyaq is - basic. The Superb version had very useful functionality such as linking calendars to satnav, lock doors etc but none of that exists on the Enyaq version. is anyone aware of likely updates to the app?
  7. That’s good to know, thanks.
  8. I got the 80x this evening. I was sad to see my Superb L&K but after 40miles, the Enyaq is seriously growing on me. Initial impressions are it’s great pulling in to traffic gaps, comfort is great, the suspension feels stiff, but not too stiff, the matrix lights are excellent, better than the Superb’s, it likes B roads. Like it.
  9. As it’s been a while since the Aberdeen dealership has had a mention I thought I’d give my experience over 5 years with them. back in 2016 I bought a petrol blue Superb L&K, see post above, and over 3 years I had a faultless experience with Specialist Cars. So in 2019 I ordered a new L&K Superb estate in Velvet Red, again a great ownership experience. In August I ordered an Enyaq 60 Suite, again with Specialist Cars, I changed plan and am picking up an Enyaq iV 80x SportLine from the dealership in the next few days. My experience has been great over the years, hence my continued use of the dealership. I dealt with Mark Nelson for the blue Superb and Grant McLean for the red one and the Enyaq(s). Both stand out people and the deals I got were very good. For services, the team are very good and I can’t fault the quality of work. Before I bought the blue Superb I ran a Jaguar XJR, my dealership experience with Peter Vardy Jaguar in Aberdeen was the complete opposite to Specialist Cars, but if I write about that I’ll go into full rant mode.
  10. I’m on the point of swapping my Superb Estate L&K for an Enyaq SportLine 80x in Arctic Silver. I ordered a 60 in mid August and was advised of a February delivery, the SportLine was set to be a showroom car but we worked round that and delivery could be as early as today. I test drove the fairly loaded demonstrator in July and was impressed by the overall quality of the car, and even on 21” rims the ride was very good. Looking forward to trying out the 80x with 265hp and 4wd!
  11. I had a 2016 L&K Estate and 2 weeks ago took delivery of a 2020 model, also an L&K Estate. I’m not aware of anything that was on my old car that isn’t on the new one. I’ve added a small number of options, Velvet Red, silver alloys and a towbar, none of which were previously standard. Standard items on the new car that we’re options on the 2016 include heated & ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, reversing camera and high beam assist.
  12. After studying the spec sheets I’d spec one up on line, then if any questions visit a dealer. Over a 3year span there will be a fair number of detail changes. I’ve just moved from an MY16 L&K Estate to an MY20 and there are numerous small changes that add up to a significant change overall. If there’s something in your car that you consider a must have then it’s probably available as an option, but beware it doesn’t take long when adding options to be worth looking at the next trim level up where the options might be standard.
  13. My error, for clarity, a smaller rolling radius will mean that each wheel rotation will take the car a shorter distance forward that with a standard radius, therefore the car’s speedo showing 30mph will have the car actually doing 28.5mph assuming no other errors in the system, this is legal.
  14. Simmo, The 225/40 tyres will give you a reduction in rolling radius of about 16mm which in turn will make your speedo under read by about 5% which should be ok. But it will also make your fuel consumption nominally worse by the same amount. There’s probably a setting in the computer to fix this, I’m sure someone will advise if there is. Paul
  15. Here's how I made the choice. Firstly I went on line and looked for wheels that fitted, my car is a 190DSG L&K Estate. As the spare has a 16" wheel I started there, and found Oponeo had suitable wheels at £41 each. My car usually runs on 18" alloys with 235/45 Pirelli P7 tyres so I then used will they fit.com to check circumference and therefore speedometer accuracy. What this gave me was 215/65 tyres, I found Vredestien Wintrac Extreme S tyres, again on Oponeo, with the wheels these came to £512 for 4, ordered, sent to my local garage for fitting of the tyres to the wheels, a further £60 and all done. I'm finding the mpg has improved by about 10% and ride quality and handling have also both improved, this maybe down to the temperature, it's -6 as I write and the best I've seen is + 2.5 over the past day or 2. Very happy with the tyres, I had Wintrac Extreme's on a SAAB so an easy choice this time round.
