    After 9 years of ownership the Fabia is moving on to a new home (on the back of a trailer thanks to the turbo going boom). Cheers Fabia, you were bloody good fun to drive!

    Chippies! I have internal door problems, namely sourcing them... Mine are measuring at 860mm wide and no where seems to stick any over 836mm wide. Any ideas because I'm getting frustrated now!

      I think a "standard internal door", as in "Barrett box" is 836mm, so I'm guessing older house and you need a specialist rather than Home&icks.

      Thanks Ken - bizarrely it's actually a newish house, built in 2004! I've decided to pad out the frames so that 836 will fit now...

    Right, someone with some plumbing knowledge required...I need to replace the thingy that connects the copper pipe to the toilet basin, but 2 things...1 - what's it called? I can't go to plumbase and ask for a toilet thingy...2 - when replacing it, other than turning off the mains water what else can I do to stop the kids ending up with an upstairs swimming pool?Any useful advice received will be rewarded with computer advice/help.Any comedy comments will cause a scowl and a disappoin...

      Somewhat of a delay from the status going on Facebook to arriving here... Thanks for the advice but in the day it took the status to travel across the interweb I've replaced the valve!

    For your own sanity, never buy a B & Q kitchen. I don't think they have any concept of customer service and definitely no idea on consumer law...

      I would but only via trade point and I would ONLY fit it myself.

      We fitted it, it's the dishwasher that's the problem. Intermittant fault and B & Q are trying to claim it's down to the manufacturer to sort. I think after 5 engineer visits and fault still persisting it's time for a replacement... Speaking to Citizens Advice this afternoon for some guidence of where to go next - I was supposed to have had a manager call me back by 19:00 on Friday and I'm still waiting for that call...

    2 things I have learnt this morning - 1 - removing silicon sealant is surprisingly hard2 - if there is a lot of silicon sealant to remove, it's probably covering up a gaping bug gap between the bath and the tiles...

      Oh, and I do this job often btw, I've fixed a tile or two in my time. ;)
