2021 Kamiq 1.0 SEL - Yellow Engine warning
Hi All, Wife's Kamiq decided to thrown up a yellow engine warning on way into work this morning. Just had the opportunity to download some faults via VCDS The obvious looking fault is as follows: 1 Fault Found: 41230 - Fuel Pump 1 P2635 00 [10101100] - Flow too Low MIL ON - Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 8 Mileage: 70570 km Date: 2025.12.09 Time: 07:25:07 Engine speed: 1614.00 /min Normed load value: 35.3 % Vehicle speed: 58 km/h Coolant temperature: 89 C Intake air temperature: 31 C Ambient air pressure: 980 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 14.984 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Normed load value: 35.3 % Ignition timing adjustment cylinder 1: 10.5 Degrees O2 sens. 1 bank 1 upstrm oxi cat: raw value: 0.987 counts Primary injection: quantity setpoint: 19.92 mg/stroke Fuel high pressure sensor: actual value: 348.0 bar O2 sen. bank 1 dwnstrm oxi cat: elec. corrected Urie sen. value: 0.655 V IN_Injection_speed: 1615.75 /min Camshaft adjustment: exhaust: bank 1: actual value: 16.3 Camshaft adjustment intake bank 1: actual value: 42.5 Throttle valve position (absolute): 28.2 % Setpoint generation interior torque: 72.9 Nm Battery voltage: 14.976 V Accelerator pedal travel: raw value: 25.68 % Control Module temperature: 29.5 C Engine oil temperature: 73.6 C Obviously something to do with Fuel Pump - on its way out? Ironically, I bought an All-In policy for this car just over a week ago, however we can't make a claim on the warranty for the first month. Is it worth me clearing the error and see if it comes back? What are the chances of being able to clear the code for the next 3 weeks until I can claim on the warranty? Or will this bite me? Cheers all.

Mib2.5 (2017 Columbus) Mobile Phone signal indicator not updating
Hi All, I now have a Samsung Galaxy S25 which is connected to my Mib2.5 Columbus. However, the mobile phone signal indicator located in the top-right corner will not update. Couple of examples: Left my home and I had a single bar of signal, which was replicated on the Columbus. During my entire drive to work, this stayed at 1 bar, despite me knowing that during my drive that signal will change from zero signal to 5 bar. Once I reached destination, I "woke" my phone by pressing one of the buttons, immediately the Columbus display changed to 4 bars. Similarly, on the drive home the 4-bar display remained in place for the entire drive, even when I was parked outside my house. Again, wake the phone and immediately the display updated to a single bar of strength. I know that this did NOT happen with my old Galaxy S21. I know that this exact same thing DID happen with an S23 someone lent me some time ago. Then, I've been running on an S22 for the past year and this did NOT happen. So, up to Samsung Galaxy S22 all fine. S23 onwards, then we appear to have this issue. I've attached a couple of pictures - one to confirm which mobile signal strength indicator I'm on about and one with the hardware & software information for my Columbus. If anyone has any ideas on a phone setting that might be causing this, that would be fantastic. If not, maybe there are some software updates for the Columbus that might help?

January 2021 Registered Kamiq - MY20 or MY21?
Late response - thank you, that was the easiest way wasn't it? :) Confirmed "M for 2021"

January 2021 Registered Kamiq - MY20 or MY21?
Guys - I should know the answer to this. I've been a Skoda owner for a long time now, so should fully understand how the "Model Year" works. A Kamiq Registered in January 2021, does that come under a MY20 or MY21? Reason I'm asking is that we are looking to make some adaptations to the car and it would appear there is different coding between MY20 and MY21 vehicles - just want to make sure we use the right ones. I know around this time is difficult as we're in the "just past covid" world and there were component shortages and there is no guarantee you've got the right components (this is an SEL so should have dynamic indicators all around, however only has them at the back - I understand this wasn't uncommon due to component shortages, etc - for example) - so you may have old controllers, etc. Cheers All.

Internal Lights - Are they monitored?
Hi All, Hopefully a really quick one. Looking to replace cabin and internal boot lights with LED's on a 2021 Kamiq. Can I just use standard fittings, or are they monitored and I'll need to use something to trick the system? Cheers.

VCDS: Kamiq (January 2021) - Lane Assist "Memory Mode" and Full Beam Assist
Hi All, Wonder if I can get some help from the VCDS experts. It has been a while since I last plugged into anything (my own car back in 2018) so I'm a little rusty. I've also searched both these forums and Google. The info out there just seems to be a little incomplete, or aimed more at OBDeleven. We have a January 2021 Kamiq SEL. The only couple of features we'd quite like to code in are: "Memory Mode" for the Lane Assist. It's managed to annoy us both so far and we're now in the habit of disabling this (along with Start/Stop) every time we get in the car. I read there is a "Last State" code you can enter so that once you turn Lane Assist off, it'll remain off until turned back on. If anyone can help with the coding for this. High-Beam Assist. I coded this in on my Mk3.5 Octy vRS and find it quite a useful feature. Our Kamiq has the standard LED's (Not the Matrix option). Could anyone provide good coding info for this as well? I am VCDS centric. Cheers in advance.

Updating maps - Kamiq (January 2021) - Amundsen
Hi All, I'm used to updating the maps on my Columbus MIB3 unit via SD Card, I'm not too sure of the process on my wife's new Kamiq. First question - I assume that the unit will be a Amundsen MIB3 unit? I've fed the VIN into the update portal and downloaded the latest maps. I exploded the, like, 708 folders into the root of a USB drive formatted in ExFAT. Inserted into one of the front USB ports and....nothing. At the moment, the system information is as follows: Device Part Number: 3V0035816D Hardware: H22 Software: 0306 Navigation Database: 20.3 Is this by chance already on the latest version of the maps? If not - is it just a matter of plugging the USB stick in and waiting as it all updates silently? On my Columbus unit you get a nice screen indicating the process, the percentage you're through it etc. Cheers

Kamiq Door Handle - Not sure if damage
Hi All, We've just picked up a new to us Kamiq. When we first went to see the vehicle we noticed some damage to the front bumpers - which they have fixed perfectly. I didn't notice the same on the door handle. Managed to negotiate a slight discount, but if I could have some opinion. I've attached a picture of the damage. Can anyone advise if this damage to the paintwork? If so, what kind of work will be involved with repairing. Or, is this paint transfer to the vehicle? If so, what could I use to remove it? Cheers all.

Potential Purchase - 2021 Kamiq - 1.0 SEL (DSG) - Anything I need to look out for?
Cheers for the replies. I'll ask them to print off the full history of the vehicle so I can see. It does sound like more of an "annoyance" over a potential reason not to go for the car by sounds. But yer - I will look into what has or hasn't been done on this.

Potential Purchase - 2021 Kamiq - 1.0 SEL (DSG) - Anything I need to look out for?
Hi All, After many weeks of flip-flopping between Kamiq and Karoq fo my far better half, we're 99% sure on going the Kamiq route. We've put a refundable deposit down on a vehicle to go take a look Saturday morning with the intention of purchasing if we like what we see and enjoy the test drive. Vehicle in question is a 1.0L SEL (2021) - Seems to be standard SEL specification with the addition of the space-saver spare (something I'd have wanted to buy afterwards anyway). 35k miles - Full dealer service history, in Grey. DSG Had a look at it's MOT history. First MOT it had a load of advisories on Rear brakes (none of which appeared on the next MOT nearly 10k miles later) Second MOT it managed to fail on: Offside Rear Passenger's seat backrest cannot be secured in the upright position. Windscreen washer providing insufficient washer liquid. Nearside Headlamp aim too high All of the above corrected 5 days later and the current pass certificate has no advisories. Is there anything I should be looking out for on these vehicles outside of the usual checks a layman can do - I know my way around a car to some extent, but any pointers at specifics would be great. Cheers all for your assistance.

Opinion on potential Karoq purchase (AutoTrader Link contained)
Hi All, I've made a couple of posts here regarding us looking at a Karoq to replace my wife's rather old VW Polo. Trying to stick to our budget (of around £12k including us hopefully getting around £2k for the old vehicle) - we've been looking at what is available most weekends. We've seen this one: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202501228300199 I just wondered if the experts in this forum might be able to give us their option on Spec & Price? Obviously you're not looking at it, so you've got no idea of condition - that bit is up to us! MOT record seems acceptable. Seems to have had 3 owners from new which seemed a little high. Also, advert says "1 key". How much are you looking at getting a second key and coded for one of these? Your opinion is certainly important to us - even if this one isn't still available at the weekend, it helps us gauge what we should be looking for and at what kind of price. It does have to be Auto. I tend to take mileage over age. Cheers All.

Does the Karoq work as a 1L Petrol?
Yer - seeing April/May registered 1.0 DSG - but nothing newer. Did Skoda ever say why they had stopped the DSG on that engine?

Does the Karoq work as a 1L Petrol?
Thank you all for the posts. She took the Auto Licence route, so it would be the DSG. Cheers - I'll stop ruling it out and go see some.

Does the Karoq work as a 1L Petrol?
Hi All, I've been mainly viewing this forum as we're potentially looking at either a Kamiq or Karoq as my wife's first "good car" (she passed her test later in life and I've made her cut her teeth on an old 2007 VW Polo!) I see there are quite a few 1L Karoq in the market. It just worries me with a relatively small engine on a relatively large vehicle. Am I better off waiting for a 1.5 to appear with the spec and within budget? Or is it worth going to take a look at the 1.0? Don't' like wasting my time and don't like wasting dealership time

Karoq buying advice
Is it OK if I piggy back into this thread? I was about to make a post, but this thread would save a new one...... We're potentially Karoq or Kamiq purchasing over the next 3 months or so. Would anyone be able to list the different spec levels this vehicles came in - bottom to top? Not too worried about what equipment was supplied with each level - that will of course all depend on year etc. Rather which spec is entry point, which is recommended, which is top etc.
