  1. Of course being unique, that means the handsets will be more expensive. Good old rip off Britain.
  2. A tiny one like that would be of no use to me, I'm a bit of a data muncher and I'd fill a 60Gb in less than a hour after installing it. I need at least 256Gb which I have at the moment (80% full after a decoke), but I also have 4Tb of mechanical HDD space for Video & Music + backups.
  3. That seems to be a common complaint about the Skoda dealerships, a nice wash & vacuum will always go down exceptionally well with customers.
  4. I'm sorry but IMHO SUK have lost the plot. Who ever decided these specifications should be sacked, then taken outside and flogged mercilessly, before being shot.
  5. Stay with the 3G version for the time being the 4G (EE) is only going to be available in the major towns & cities for the foreseeable future, so the 3G version would be the best bet. Also if you have a look at the EE tariffs you can quiet easily go through the base tariff data allowance in less than 10 mins & the cost goes up at an exponential rate with higher levels of data usage.
  6. There's a new firmware out for the M series SSDs, I bought a second hand one from a mate who upgraded to a 512, I'm quite surprised it works fine and it's now even quicker since I put the new firmware on it.
  7. Crucial are offering a 256Gb M4 SSD for £123,59 delivered, a 512Gb for £307,93 delivered. Limited period only.
  8. Proves what I've thought and that it's bland & the specifications are all wrong. NO SALE.
  9. That looks like they've taken the old Mill Lane Fiat Dealership premises then. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be using them again, as the Rapid isn't in the frame anymore & the Octavia 3 is very much the same so I'll be looking elsewhere.
  10. Not much different from the current one! How can I contain my excitement? Oh yes! Whoopie!
  11. I did a configuration of a New Toledo and a completely & fully specced up SE (1,4 122bhp DSG) version is £20k.
  12. No I expected to pay around £17-18k for a 1,4 TSi DSG Rapid, not far off what I paid for my 1,8 TSI Octy. If they'd offered that then I would more than likely have a Rapid. However I have now become so disillusioned by Skoda's rather bizarre choice of engines for the Elegance trim Rapid I have decided to focus my new car selection elsewhere, on the list are Kia Sportage, Kia Cee'd, Seat Leon FR & Seat Toledo, I've even considered going back to VW!
  13. I should have pointed out that I am looking to "buy" as an individual. The reason I'm having to look at PCPs now is the fact that new cars are so expensive and my mileage is really quite low at the moment, so I was thinking that the PCP is probably the best way to go. Also I'm not a home owner so the maximum unsecured loan I can usually get/afford is £15k, without resorting to crippling by high monthly repayments, especially if I want something like a Yeti or even a vRS!
  14. Some interesting advice there. I do about 6-7,000 miles pa & I usually change every 3 years or thereabouts, so it looks like a PCP may well be the better deal for the next car. I'm thinking that I might well have a 4x4 or SUV/Crossover this time, especially as we seem to be going through a phase of having more severe weather & winters at the moment; And as I live on the edge of the North Downs it's starting to become a real pain in the butt having a normal saloon car which gets stuck or can't go through any depth of water more than 3-4" deep.
  15. L&G. I'm planning on buying a new car, don't know whether it'll be a Skoda or something else yet. However I am now starting to work out what finance I will roughly require, I was wondering what the benefits of doing a PCP over a straight loan + savings and I'm also a little confused about how I stand with insurance etc. Any advice would (as always) be appreciated.
  16. Got a test drive in a Kia Sportage KX-3 2.0CRD Auto on 01/11, as I've now become disillusioned with Skoda.
  17. I use super unleaded in my 1.8TSi, which helps the economy a tad; However I suspect that I won't have my Octy much longer as it's time for a change & Skoda haven't produced anything new that I like at the moment.
  18. I would probably consider a Rapid but they have completely f00ked up the specs! I would have probably ordered an Elegance model, but I want the 1,4 DSG box, I don't want the 1,2 TSI or 1,6 CR so AFAIC I won't be buying one and I think you'll find that a lot of potential purchasers will feel exactly the same way as I do on this. Now whether it was SUK who made the decision to have this line up or Skoda HQ I don't know, but whoever made the decision should be give a one way ticket out of the door, because it's a decision that's going to cost Skoda a lot of sales.
  19. I wasn't considering a C'eed, More Pro_ceed or Sportage.
  20. Well they've already lost my sale. I guess I'll just have to wait & see what Octavia 3 brings & how soon. If not then I strongly suspect that it will be off to Kia
  21. Yep and you can get a better specced VW Golf Match 3dr for £18,675 (without additions) or 5dr for £19k and you'll get far better residuals on the Golf.
  22. Kia have a new twin clutch auto box similar to DSG which is fitted to the Sportage, like you say though it kills the economy. Which is a little off putting, but if Skoda aren't going to come up with the goods then I'll have to look elsewhere.
  23. I was hoping to stay with the Skoda marque, but if it means moving over to Kia then so be it, I've considered going back to Audi & VW, but I think that they are far too expensive now. What draws me to the Kia is the warranties & the reliability and reviews they've been getting recently.
