eBay, £22 On my jollies so I can't post a link, sorry
  2. Amazing, 3 or 4 clicks either side and the noise is gone. Thanks to all
  3. I have concerns, surely there's a huge potential for Briskoda to have a legal dispute here? Expert witnesses would be called (in my experience their fees are huge, and they ties their horses up outside the court) from both sides with the loser paying costs etc ? Barge pole !
  4. I've checked the tailgate which feels quite tight, 16st can't make it rattle - I've had a look at the stops, I've never seen that type before how do you adjust them?

So, the update took the best part of 2 hours with the car being started a few times and at least 2 x timeouts stopping the process before I turned the unit back on and it resumed. All seems ok so far
  6. In the rear, it's a rumble over washboard or undulating surfaces, pot holes and speed humps are fine - sounds like something topping out, however ... New springs, dampers and drop links both sides whilst making the car a much more pleasant place to be ... have not solved the problem. I've had it on ramps and rocked arb, exhaust and all suspension arms, none of which have any play in them, checked the rear seats are locked in place and they're ok I'm stumped, any suggestions?
  7. Agreed, our 07 plate is a cracker and in much better general condition than our 10 plate Yeti with far far less rust underneath. Only complaint from me is it's cramped inside and very low to the ground

I've never updated before, does the ignition have to be on during the update? If the RNS unit only is turned on, will the car go to sleep and it shut it down after (say) 30 minutes and corrupt the update?
  10. How is 82k high mileage for a VAG diesel? Mine's on 132k, my Touran was 165k and our Roomie is 110k - and all run like swiss watches
  11. Did this job over the weekend, it is very simple indeed and required only the correct sized spanner. The job took an hour because access the the sensor is awful, I had to move the header tank and air intake pipe, then manipulate many smaller pipes out of the way to even reach the valve - and then I needed to get my other hand underneath it to support the pipe which may easily fracture when pressure is applied as it's unsupported.
  12. I'm looking to remove the current HID bulb set-up from our 2007 Roomster Scout as it's pretty useless and looks very Heath Robinson to a potential buyer. There is a horrible piece of flimsy metal holding the bulb in place, surely that's not the standard Skoda part? The HID have been there so long I've forgotten what the standard set-up looks like ! Has anyone got a photo showing what's supposed to be there? Cheers
  13. Depends what year your car is? Earlier cars have maxidot control on the wiper stalk, not the indicator/cruise stalk which can be bought separately - but I've seen on ebay that some are sold as an assembly
  14. So with all the above in mind, I'd be buying a V8 Land Rover
  15. CFHA on the label, but the engine control module is saying CFHD. If it is CFHD thats cr140 - it doesn't feel like a 140hp motor, my Roomster is 150hp and is streets quicker than the Yeti Perhaps it's simply a 140hp motor with a 110hp map on it?
  16. I have a 2010 2.0l tdi cr110 2 wheel drive with engine code CFHA So why does a VCDS scan show engine code CFHD ?
  17. Good decision, hopefully one with a bluetooth address on the label not just a line of 0000's ?
  18. I'm pretty sure all Golf 5 platform cars are prone to rear caliper seizures
  19. Thanks both, I'll see if my 9yr old can do the job for me !
  20. I think this is the G65 sensor, can anyone confirm please .... and how the hell can I get to it !
  21. I have a Pioneer F910-BT in my Smart that ticks the boxes - horrible to use compared to RNS315 though
  22. I had this on a 55 plate Touran, the loom was £55 new from VW and took a leisurely few hours to fit
  23. The bushes were really noisy on our 2007 Scout, I squirted G85 (cheap stuff from Asda in a red can?) spray on the bushes a year ago and they're still fine
