No easy fix that I know of. However a couple of folks (Coskev and Lofty) have just had new lightly tinted SE rear screens fitted to cure this. Cost them about £150 afaik Coskev and Lofty will be here soon hopefully. -

You won't get anywhere near 300hp on a stock head Richard! How would anyone know if you had a ported head and bored the block out to 2.0?! -

Good luck! The only one is Jasons Mongrel isn't it? -
Going through insurance will put a non fault claim on your insurance. This is likely to increase your premium. In my case it DOUBLED! Take the cash and don't involve insurance IMO, will be less hassle for all involved. Fingers crossed the old chap is genuine

Top end rebuild... Shopping list
vRS Joe replied to hutchysrs50's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
So you're re-using your cambelt? Not worth it! Also what's the rationale behind doing this? Is the head lifting? -
It's my car that was the latest to go.... BLT engined Fabia with GTB1756vk turbo running 2.3 bar of boost for the last 40k miles. Milage is 121'000. I'm not changing the Pistons, the cracked one (number 2) is just being replaced with one of Alex's spare ones. That saves a bit of money which is going towards the ceramic coating (£200) The car hasn't been running quite right for some time. It was intermittently producing lots of white/grey smoke under boost. It will be interesting to see if that persists after the re-build. Thankfully Alex caught this one before it damaged the block...

When I was running stock paper filter we did some logs and found that it was restricting air flow. So I fitted a pipercross panel filter. No idea if that has improved anything tho lol That was on a gtb1756vk with 2.3bar of boost

I had something very similar, Turned out to be the wheel that the aux belt runs off, It eventually disintegrated and the aux belt came off.

Sounds like torque steer to me!

Have you done anything to the suspension to reduce the vagueness? Ie coilovers or bushes etc

Maybe it could return to its first owner... Buy it Ross!

Hi Xav, I was wondering what would become of this beast with you ordering a Tesla, you're not the only one! Sadly worth more in bits I suspect.... What's the mileage? I'd say it's worth £4K if it's in good nick.

Not with me no, car is not low

I fitted new rear arch liners and the deflector broke off in no time. I got another set and trimmed the deflector down by about half with a Stanley blade, that seems to have stopped them snapping again.

In a word. No -
A old 5 series wouldn't be a bad shout. I bet a E60 545i can be had pretty cheap!
-
That E30 looks absolutely stunning! Top work as always Josh.

What you see in the fields is called Maize and it's grown for cattle and AD plants! Have you tried it? It pretty unpleasant to eat. Not much sweetcorn grown in this country as the season is quite short. It's easier and I suspect cheaper to grow it elsewhere. I have to agree with the comments on here about Tesco using made up English sounding farm names to flog foreign food. Really grates me!

Could I have a guide on price please? (BMW M5) PM me if you prefer. Cheers, Joe Edit, I've just read this properly and it doesn't appear they are for sale. Sorry! They look fantastic.

Mk2 vRS diesel ftw -
That's a shame. Maybe buy it back if it's cheap enough and there's parts worth swapping onto another vRS!

I have had the same problem with rats on and off over the last 15 years or so that I've kept hens. I found the easiest way to remove the problem is to remove the food. So take any feed troughs away just before dusk and let the birds clear and remaining split feed before they go to roost. Thus leaving nothing for mr Rat. Then put food out again in the morning. I used an old chest freezer to put the food in, totally rat proof. Also rats will take the eggs during day time if they can so you may need to up your collections! I've tried shooting them to no avail - too small and too quick for me even with a shotgun. You might shoot the odd one....fun though! Once I'm sure I've removed the rats food I put a poison pack directly into the rats burrow and place a rock over the burrow entrance. Job done. -
