Yeti owner here. Just to sayI had a look at a Karoq in the showroom today.
Hi Stan, I've had two Yetis, first was the surprisingly powerful 1.2 Elegance manual and the second a petrol, manual L&K. I was very reluctant initially to swap to a Karoq but, after a test drive, decided to take the plunge. I don't regret it at all. The car has a far more contemporary feel, handles well, more roomy and the Sportline I have performs well.

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
I know the feeling, had it done on my L&K Yeti about a year before trading it in and at around 20,000 miles. Think total bill was around £800 with service. Just relieved my current Karoq has dodged the bullet next year!

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
Well, this is the reply I received today; Thank you for your contact, Andrew. We confirm that the cambelt interval has changed for your Skoda Karoq. Your Skoda Karoq cambelt interval is 15 years or 180 000 miles, whichever comes first. Just a slight extension and thank goodness mine wasn't due until next year!

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
I messaged Skoda UK on Facebook Messenger and quickly got this reply; "Hi Andrew, thank you for contacting Å koda UK. We can confirm that the years on the cam belt have been removed. However, the retailer network is replacing cam belt base on the mileage for your vehicle. We can contact our Internal Team on Monday and find out what mileage do your vehicle need to be replaced. Can you provide us with your vehicle registration, please?" I'll see what Monday brings

ABS/TCS warning lights on
You seem to be lucky it's kept going! I had the same problem a few months ago with the N/S rear ABS sensor whilst on holiday and thought ah, I'll ignore it until I can get it fixed. After a couple of days the car suddenly went into limp mode and then followed quite an expensive saga🥲 This part was replaced and been fine ever since, suppose I was just unlucky?

I'm back in the fold.
Although some seem to have had trouble with the sunroof leaking (forums are famed for fault reporting etc), I can say (fingers crossed!), that in over 5 years of ownership mine has not succumbed. All I will say is I don't tend to open it as the air con does it for me and the main attraction I find is the light and airy ambiance it gives to the cabin. It's a great car, enjoy it!

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
Update, after a good nights sleep I woke refreshed and ready to give this effing map update another chance! I combined all your helpful hints and by some miracle it has only gone and worked! Couldn't honestly explain what I did differently but it works whatever. This forum certainly is a mine of information and great knowledge!

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
Well, I have tried absolutely everything today and I'm afraid my patience has run out. I have done these updates probably half a dozen time over the years and have never had this problem previously. I even tried the larger 8gb map version and it loaded onto the Skoda SD card with no problem and when I put the card into the unit the 'map data on card' notice came up but when NAV was selected it told me 'map database unavailable' (or something similar). Reloaded the older version (the one I was trying to update) and it works perfectly and that is 14gb in size! Anyway, I know when to give up and that time has come. I will probably be chopping the car in for a replacement later in the year so I will carry on with the current maps. Thanks for all your suggestions and help.

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
I don't think it would be wise to format the Skoda card as it apparently has specific files on it relating to authenticity?

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
I am only loading the smallest region but for apparently a single file on it exceeds the max size (4gb?) for the FAT 32 file system. No expert but I have done this quite a few times with no problem and the general consensus seems to be the larger 32gb card is needed possibly with a different file system (NTFS)?

Thanks for that, thought I was having brain fade! I will look into getting the larger card. Thanks again, much appreciated.

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
Hi, Downloaded this latest update (STD_1510_E_U1_202122) for the Amundsen which I've done numerous times over the past 5 years and after doing all the same procedure as previously when I come to load it on the Skoda map SD card it says that it's too large for the destination file system. The previous maps reload onto card with no problems. Is there a way round this? I have found in the past that only the Skoda SD card accepts the maps and using a generic one comes up with no data found. Sorry if this has been asked before, I did try search but couldn't find similar problem.

Lit up like a Christmas tree
Update part 2 Yeti towed for 60 miles to Barnstable Skoda, AA guy had to fit their free wheeling hubs and wheel kits to rear to prevent damage to the Haldex system. Had great service from Marshalls Skoda and was back on the road a couple of days later. As thought, it was the n/s rear wheel motion sensor playing up and they fitted new and did a few software updates. The strange thing is no one seems to have had the complete lack of power I experienced accompanying the sensor failure, I suppose it was 'limp home' mode? Anyway all in all an unforgettable experience😣
