52 plate 4x4 1.8T Elegance hatch' date=' 19,000 miles, exceptionally well looked after with FSSH. Paid 6k for it with a 6 month Gold warranty (covers turbo unit, engine etc and smaller items such as MAF...). Think I got a great buy but that gives you another example.

Yeah but yours is a funny colour:P
Mine had done 34k forgot to add that

for your info I bought a 4x4 1.8t hatch a couple of weeks back for £6700 privately, had a jabba remap and a tracker
-
cheers for the info guys, I am not sure which they are, will go and have a look and see exactly what they are, I havent seen them just been told they are there!
will get back to you when I find them!
Cheers

Just found a set of 4 callipers and disks from a 944 in the store room and was wondering if anyone has any experience of fitting these to an octy 4x4?
I was planning on going for the 312 upgrade from golf turbo but these will be considerably cheaper;) So will they fit or not!
Cheers

I would never have drilled disks again as I have had 4 sets crack on me, but then it could be me using greenstuff pads which are also notorious for that!

Coming from a 75k mile focus I don't find the handling to dire, it does roll and I find the pitching is the worst thing under accelerating and braking.
MPG varies wildly with mine, on a few testing runs after mods have been getting 8mpg, on decent motorway runs have been getting up to 40mpg...

there are 2 screws at the back of it and then it just unclips from the front

Having taken out the symphony headunit and cd changer out of my car I am thinking about selling them both. Do octavias come prewired for the headunit or do I need to try and get the cable out as well?
Also any ideas on value?
Cheers

fitted mine tonight... The brackets were not quite in the right position and angle so had to modify it a bit to fit.
Before I had just a panel replacement filter on my car. That had improved things no end, slightly better noise and much much better after 4.5k revs, flew up to the red line so much better than before.
This has increased the noise a fair bit, the dv is much more noticable at all speeds, and there is definately more induction noise, you can hear it really sucking in the air. I have only done about 5 miles with the new one in so didnt have enough time to warm the car and test it properly, but there seems to be a slight improvement in speend, but nothing like the jump from the panel filter...
hope that helps a bit, will come back if I change my mind after more miles...

on my old focus my brother threw the locking wheel nut key away by mistake, they were on so tight I ended up having to weld on a nut to get them off, which took a few goes as they were on so strong the weld snapped!

very nicely, just got to find the time to do it now!

well I couldnt stand the standard ice in the car any more, so decided to chuck in some of what I have laying about. I was going to go the whole hog and install the carpc as well as everything else audio wise but started running out of time so just put the sub, headunit handsfree and camera detector in for now.
I know it looks aweful in this picture but it will do for now, when I get some more time the car pc, second battery and some amps and processors will go on one side and the other amps on the other, new subs will be along the back seat probably, not quite decided yet!
So, please excuse the horribleness!
Headunit and handsfree
Overall current view of the front
Having taken a load of bass off the fronts and got the sub doing the hard work has made a big difference. Sound deadened behind the front speakers and got rid of some of the moisture film, which has made a decent difference. I am now deciding on how to go about the door builds to fit my focals in the front doors

tried emailing him yesterday but got delayed for some reason, wait with baited breath!

excellent news! Good to hear you are pleased!
Think the guys working on mine have reached the upper limits of boost for now so will have to start saving for this:rolleyes:

Just been having a look at the codes on the climatronic panel on my new car and when you enter it comes up with diagnose 126. I can't find it on autodate nor on a search of here.
Any ideas?
Cheers

well mine arrived last night, so it got a handsfree kit and a speed camera detector 2 hours after picking it up.
Today it is having a shakedown with the rally testing team to see what needs doing to it, a new headunit is going in christmas eve, then the rest of the ice when I get time. The engine is being breathed on between christmas and new year all being well:)

I currently work for a rally prep company and all our current and planned cars are evos. I currently have an evo 6.75 (a 7 with various 6 bits in it) as a company car, that certainl shifts!
We have 4 9's comming in the first week of january to start stripping down for the new seasons cars. 2 to build up into rally cars cages etc etc and 2 to strip for spares (cheaper that way)
Pic of one of the 7s we are currently stripping for a respray and engine rebuild

right trying again tomorrow night to collect the car so will see on the test drive home how much more I can persuade myself to buy for the car. I will be wanting one just need to find the funds really, so the longer after crimbo the better!

good good, hope they come up trumps!
Still alot of work on our site I am led to believe but just thought it best to have something there rather than nothing!
-
we have been using http://www.atelier-studios.com/ for our site and have been very happy with what they have come up with so far. (http://www.smarterhousing.co.uk/)

dad usually drives a merc s55, but chopping it in for a cls55 early next year, mother drives a range rover, bro a bmw 525ix and I will hopefully have an octavia 4x4 on wednesday night all being well, my focus is off to a new home tonight. Company car is an evo 6.75 currently. Living on a farm there are various other things about for various different uses! My old man drives quicker that I do and has more points to prove it!
-
oilman I am pretty sure, seen him on quite a few other forums as well. He might have something in the groupbuy section...

so I need to find a steering wheel with audio controls then... ebay!

does anyone know what this sumpguard costs? I live on a farm and whilst I havent been off the road yet, I will be quite soon as my second car is a land rover racer and often need to get to it when I break it during a race!
Once I have done a bit off tarmac I will post up here my thoughts. Hopefully better than my old focus, caused £800 of damage to that having too much fun in a field on day
Cheers
