Making the most of the winter pack this morning. Heated windscreen and seats were a lovely luxury for an early start!

Had this windscreen on a previous Focus St and it was the thing I've missed most on all my cars since (bar the 5 pot engine!), so went for it on my Octavia 245, no more scraping!!  :D

Haha I'm in the same boat, just swapped from an ST, so will be scraping again when the cold weather comes!

Happy Halloween and Car anniversary! Had my VRS TSI 1 year today. It rewarded me with no tricks but a good treat today, almost 56mpg (indicated - but usually very accurate to <0.5 mpg Vs calculated figures) driving back from Birmingham this afternoon. First year of ownership has been very good overall, and I've doubled its mileage (bought at 14k - now 32k) in this past year! :)

Mine looked very different this morning:

After two washes (in the rain, because I needed to get the damned dirt off...), I get back to this:

Still, I can feel the dirt in the wax on the front passenger door. Might yet have to clay it again before winter, will try a pressure wash first.

Jeez, seriously? all this effort for a mainstream mass produced motor? I'd understand it for a Lancia Fulvia or an original Alfa Giulietta, but a mass produced warm wagon? Mine gets a wash every 2 weeks (about 2k miles) because it needs to look clean for business. Sure, it's nice to look at, but I'd never think about cuddling up to it in bed, whereas my old Alfasud, now that was a thing of beauty and indulgence!
