After having a disappointing experience with another south-Wales based dealer, we decided to give Griffin Mill a try as they had the model we were after available on their site. We phoned up to confirm that the car was available and to work out when we could take it for a test drive.

 

The sales person who answered our call (Seth - who then went on to deal with us all of the way through to purchase!) was very helpful from the outset, and confirmed the car was available and we were able to take it for a test drive that day. We arranged to have a test drive less than an hour later, and it was Seth that we dealt with when we arrived.

 

We were shown the car, and taken through the paperwork required for a test drive. The test drive went well - the car was the spec we wanted, and was faultless - however there was another car we wanted to look at which was right at the back of the indoor sales room. Seth was more than happy to move the cars around to let us test drive this second car, and had it available for us to test drive within a few minutes.

 

Having driven the second car, we were convinced that the first was the car for us - so we discussed options with Seth. While he did walk us through all of the finance options available to us - he was open and honest in helping us decide which product would work best for us. At no point were we pressured towards picking a particular product based on some sales target or what have you.

 

We were fairly well sold that the car was for us, but wanted to take a day or two to think through our options to ensure we were happy - so we placed a deposit on the car to ensure it wasn't sold to anyone else (!) and agreed an appointment three days later (Tuesday) to proceed or cancel the purchase.

 

Having thought it through we were happy to proceed, so met with Seth again to confirm details and complete the purchase. We arranged to have some extras added to the car to be completed by the following Saturday for us to pick up. 

 

On the Saturday we were introduced to the business manager to complete the financial side of the purchase, and were able to pick up the car then and there - with the extras fitted, and cheaper than initially quoted!

 

In all we had fantastic service from Griffin Mill - particularly from Seth - and wouldn't hesitate to purchase through them in future. Other dealers could learn a thing or two!

Griffin Mill are no longer a Skoda dealer, they do aftersales only.

they claim to do after sales, warranty work etc. They let slip they dont even have vag com! Couldn't help me with a faulty headlight.

 

Servicing is cheap but I'm not sure they use vw oil.
