Matty's Orange Fabia Sport MKII 1.9TDi (vRS...:))

I wouldn't bother with the vinyl, the car looks brilliant all in Orange, it's a really nice colour and you should celebrate it not cover it up, plus you will lose some uniqueness if you turn it into a Monte clone.

For me that £250.00 couldbe spent better elsewhere.

I'm thorn between keeping it as it's or wrapping but tbh I think I'll leave it like it is...Maybe I'll wrap the roof only...:) Don't know

Totally agree on the £250.00 being spend on something else and wrapping is last thing I'll do to my car.

On satruday I'm getting the Weitec Coilovers, then H&R RARB. These are my priorities at the moment and can't wait to get these...

I don't think you'll be dissapointed mate, lowering and bar are my two favourite mods, make sure you get an alignment done at a place with a hunter setup too after the fitting.

You can find one at www.alignmycar.co.uk

Fitting the suspension and bar will probably see things shifted about after fitting and you'll want the alignment to really get the most of the new setup.

Agree with you and aware of the alignment...:)

I getting all the parts and will fit these while I'm on holiday.

Going to my homeland in May and leaving my car with my best friend who also is a machanic and while servicing the car (cambelt and etc is due) he will also fit the ARB and Coilovers. He also has the Laser Alignment kit so he can do it all for me...

I'm lucky to know him as labour and parts where I'm from are half price comparing to the UK ones...

Can't wait to be honest...!!!

I don't know why (maybe sixth sense) but I thought it might be Polish.

My Grandad's side of the family are all Ostrowski's.  I was brought up on pierogies and bigos :) and have inherited the polish palate for pickles and salami type meats SWMBO can't stand it.

Sadly I've never actually been but we have family in/near Lublin

While I was working on replacing the badges my Bro in Law visited me and asked me to help him with cleaning his car...

As always, I got carried away and spent little bit too much time on his car but it was worth it...

Few pics of both cars:

So as promised here is the update for today...

After cleaning my and my bro in law's cars yesterday I drove down to Chatham and met Dexter619 to check the nice set of Weitec Coilovers he had for sale.

Had a really nice chat with him about the my and his car which btw looks really nice and smart decided to check the set and handed over the money. The set looks rally good and was as described. Tbh I think I got my myself a bargain considering how much I paid for these...

The set will be fitted to my car in May by my mate who runs the garage and also has the laser alignment kit.

Thanks to BossFox I'm now also in the possession of the new set of floor mats for my Fabia:

HIs car looks really good IMO...!!

Things left to buy/replace at the moment are:

  • H&R Rear Anti Roll Bar
  • Rear 17mm Spacers
  • Front 5mm/10mm Spacers
  • SuperPro lower engine steady bush - getting this on Weds hopefully
  • New Suspension Bushes (I might even replace all bushes is my car)

I also have other things in mind but want to sort out above first...

So my car currently has the following:

  • The standard 1.9 TDi PD 105 BHP was remapped to 140 BHP and 255 ft/lb (done April 2010)
  • Osram Night Breaker Plus H7 55W Headlight Bulbs and spare set of the Philips H7 X-Treme Vision 100%
  • Philips W5w Blue Vision Bulb 5W as side lights (3400K daylight light) - really like those
  • Philips W5W, Blue Vision LED (6000K daylight light) - This is the spare set to replace above
  • LED Rear Side Bulbs
  • 35mm Lowering Springs all round
  • 17" Kentaur Alloys with soon to have 205/40/17 Fulda SportControl 2 Brand New Tyres (These Kentaur Alloys replaced my Silver Trinity 17" Monte Carlo Wheels)
  • New Skoda Logo Centre Caps
  • New Skoda Logo Front and Rear Badges
  • De-badged
  • ClimAir Front Wind Deflectors

Still to be Fitted/Added/On My List for 2014:

  • H&R Rear Anti Roll Bar
  • Front 5/10mm Spacers
  • Rear 17/20mm Spacers
  • Suspension SuperPro Bushes (Probably will replace all)
  • The Springs and Shocks/Dampers will be replaced by the Weitec GT Hicon Coilovers in May 2014
  • SuperPro lower engine steady bush due to be fitted in next two weeks
  • 312mm Brake Upgrade if I can find a decent second hand set for the right price
  • Front Antiroll Bar Meyle HD Stabiliser Links
  • Performance Air Filter (Pipercross or K&N)
  • I'm considering the EGR Delete and New, Bigger Intercooler but these are my least priorities as I want to sort out the above first.

Need some advice from the peeps who already fitted the Coilovers to their cars...

I'm now in the possesion of the Weitec ones (Full Kit) but wonder if I need to buy or upgrade any other parts while fitting the Coilovers.

Do I need to use the new bearings and top mounts and bolts or is it the case of basically removing the old and fitting the new...?

I just want to make sure I have everything I need when my car is ready to have these fitted in May along with lots of other bits...:)
