Hello to all fellow Skoda owners in the West Midlands,, Faintree Garage Telford are First Class, on my third Skoda from them and have always received great service from them and with my new car picked up yesterday they really went the extra mile  [see my post in Rapid Forum under My New Spaceback]  So it may be not as close as  my local dealers but I would rather drive to Telfod and know I will be well looked after as will my car !

Have you tried Furrows in Oswestry? They were fine when I rang them to buy a paint touch up bottle. They have Ford garages in Shrewsbury and Telford, so may be able to have you pick your parts up there?

Just had the first service on my Yeti done at Faintree in Telford.

Excellent service, friendly staff, even dropped me off at the shopping centre while they were doing the car and picked me up when ready. More than can be said for a my local ( just ) dealer.

I've just taken delivery of my Octavia 2.0tdi from Faintree, Telford.

Obviously it's a limited acquaintanceship on which to make any sort of judgement, but the early signs are good. The salesman, Joe Edwards, could not have been more helpful and seemed a genuine sort (yes, I know he was after my money).  Perhaps more tellingly, other staff members I bumped into - a couple of mechanics and the guy who preps the cars - were equally as friendly and seemed to be very enthusiastic about Skoda.

They are just in the process of finishing a costly, major re-furb of the showroom so seem to be committed to Skoda for the long haul.

Mixed bag experience here.

Bought a Scout advertised as havin 6 Cd, when i got home to N wales... It didnt. Asked them what could be done as it wasnt as advertised, basic answer was "tough, read the ad smallprint, spec may not match" system fault and i should have checked the spec before buying.

My argument was that their system made the mistake and therefore it was overpriced. I paid for 6Cd, they thought it was a 6cd too and priced accordingky when selling it, they even suggested i look under the seat for it and just "put more cds in the slot" when i first questioned. after lots ofback and forth all they would iffer was to Sell me a head unit at cost. Id have to pay fot it and fitting. Coulnt see why i should pay more for what we both thought i was buying in the 1 st place. No budging.

They were always nice, but did make me feel that once my £11k was in their hands they couldnt be bothered with me.

After sales have been better customer service but still not really obliging. The car has developed a clutch fault, one month after buying. An annoying whine when pulling off, and sometimes in changing. Dont realky feel happy spending money on a warrantied car with under 30k on the clock to be told a month in that Clutch is not covered and id have to pay £1000 to "see" if it was just a worn clutch, and tgen not under warranty.

Once again, nice enough people but put me iff Skoda in general. Gutted, my 1st Skoda and i love the car 99%of the time.

Garage gets 4 out if 10 from me.

A sign of the times perhaps, or just getting too big...........took an unsolicited phone call from Faintree and I asked about a service as my car is due. Faintree supplied the car brand new to me just 23 months ago. Caller was happily ready to book me in and offering dates. I asked for details of price, service items and possible update to the sat nav. "I will get the service team to call you back".

Surprise surprise.....the call never came.

Back to Savilles near Kidderminster who have given up their Skoda franchise. Spoke to Richard.........all my questions answered most comprehensively....much better price too.

Can't fault these guys

Agreed a deal on a 2011 VRS tdi 2 weeks ago, with an original date of the following weekend to collect

Due to a few parts on back order this was delayed till Tuesday (just gone)

Spoke Thursday and there were issues getting the wheels refurbished, as part of the deal. Paint wasn't reacting well due to previous shoddy repairs.

Was advised today the car would be back for 10.. so made the trip down from Rhyl

Was kept in the loop throughout today, wheels still not reacting to paint, so kept on top of the teas, regular updates till the point was made to get the wheels acid dipped

Gave a loan car due to work commitments and my MK5 golf being sold and a new date of Tuesday to collect

Went out their way to ensure I had a vehicle and have offered a cash back and a few other things which are ideal

Recommend these lot so far.. worth holding out from the vrs in Bradford Skoda I'd looked at previously

After coming in for a second visit to bring in my wife's driving licence to add her onto the mobility insurance, we went outside, picked the colour and confirmed our order. Little did we know that Faintree would completely b*lls it up. They didn't send in the copy of my wife's drivers license. It wasn't until we hit a pothole and damaged a wheel it came to light she wasn't covered. We rang the garage to ask them to admit their mistake to mobility and the insurance but amazingly all memory of our coming in and them taking a copy of her license just disappeared.  Joe Edwards denied all knowledge and then when we rang the manager, he also said they had no evidence.

Feels like they are fearful they will be landed with the insurance bill and won't admit their error and co-operate. Thanks to Faintree I will have to give up the car and will no longer be able to receive the specialist treatment for my condition as it is 90 minutes away by car. My kids have the same condition and they also now won't be under this specialist.

I am so angry with them. Useless Useless Useless. Unless you want a whole heap of incompetence and inconvenience, do not use this garage.

Joe Edwards - happy to take your money, not process the paperwork, make significant errors and then suffer memory loss. It is now my mission to let as many people know what happened. Never had this problem with previous mobility vehicles suppled by Ford and Vauxhall.
