Tried buying an Octavia VRS from this shower in January, used, gave details, got one call back telling me they had one coming in as trade, never heard from them again.

Today.....

Last weekend saw the long trip south for MOT and service.

Perfect. I can only surmise Telford's have listened to criticism?

Clean bill of health, brake service required, advisories on all 4 tyres (0.4mm left till minimum), and advisory on alternator belt, which they said they would do under warranty.

Perfect throughout, I have to give a 10/10 for Telfords. Sorry folks

Now......car in today with Specialist cars Aberdeen for the warranty repair, whats the bet "it's not covered by warranty" line gets trotted out?

Bingo, bango, bongo.....

Correct was I, shysters are they. Not only have they said it's not a warranty issue, they tried to get me to change two tyres that were still very legal 6 days ago.

Case opened with Skoda UK.

I bought my current car from Specialist Cars Aberdeen and was happy enough with the sales and service experience that I helped my mother buy a care there a few months ago. I was grateful to Brian Rendall who worked there who delivered my mother's car and did the handover and paperwork at her house.

I got a free service plan when I purchased my car three years ago and there has not been any additional costs associated with that. In all, so far so good.

Unfortunately they were not able to go anywhere near the price quoted by Newcastle Skoda for my new Superb but they will get the business for service work and any warranty that comes up and I will probably give them first opportunity to quote for any future car as I would like to use a local dealer if possible.

I'm in the process of buying an MY16 Superb Estate and will pick it up on Tuesday, very happy with the service to date. I didn't go for a trade in which has probably eased the process as it's a single deal. Will update when I have the car.

Presumably this is the car that was in the showroom some time ago (Petrol Blue - beige leather). It was an extremely good looking car and I was definitely tempted.

That's certainly the colours. The car was registered in March so it could well be the one you saw. I am very pleased with it and have put about 150miles in between Tuesday afternoon and now. I''be had people at work asking what it is, they generally don't believe it's a Skoda.

I bought my Rapid from here in February this year and the service we got was first class. Much better than the sales experience I got at Arnold Clark back in 2012.

We were on a tight budget and they worked with us to find the right deal. They were all very helpful and not pushy at all.

Just bought my second Rapid from John Clark Specialist Cars Skoda.

Got a decent enough deal on the drive sale which is on till the end of the month.

Got £500 from the dealer towards the deposit. Also had positve equity on my finance for the outgoing Rapid. They were helpful with finance options.

Car has come up with "low battery warning" during first week of ownership. Booked into dealer for warranty repair so lets watch this space...

Also the car valeting staff didn't do as good a job of preparing the car as I would expect. I valet to a far higher standard..

As it’s been a while since the Aberdeen dealership has had a mention I thought I’d give my experience over 5 years with them.

back in 2016 I bought a petrol blue Superb L&K, see post above, and over 3 years I had a faultless experience with Specialist Cars. So in 2019 I ordered a new L&K Superb estate in Velvet Red, again a great ownership experience. In August I ordered an Enyaq 60 Suite, again with Specialist Cars, I changed plan and am picking up an Enyaq iV 80x SportLine from the dealership in the next few days.

My experience has been great over the years, hence my continued use of the dealership.

I dealt with Mark Nelson for the blue Superb and Grant McLean for the red one and the Enyaq(s). Both stand out people and the deals I got were very good. For services, the team are very good and I can’t fault the quality of work.

Before I bought the blue Superb I ran a Jaguar XJR, my dealership experience with Peter Vardy Jaguar in Aberdeen was the complete opposite to Specialist Cars, but if I write about that I’ll go into full rant mode.
