My Roomster Mods

Recommended Posts

(Thought this was a more appropriate place for this thread so have moved it)

Well here i go I got quite a bit of interest in my last thread (someone even listened to advice on a mod and went and got it done :sun: ). Be interesting if the roomster fans are as interested as the fabia owners.

I ordered a black roomster and have added roofrails which are being fitted next friday.

First mod was tinted rear windows to increase its van appeal.

Then i changed all the interior lights to leds. And the numberplate bulbs to led as well. After this i dechromed the front grille to a monte carlo black whick i did with carbon wrap.

My exhaust has been tarted up  with a stainless tip welded on the backbox like my fabia monte carlo was.

I've also fitted coilovers and  have new wheels in need of some paint before they go on properly. but I have test fitted them

ive also tinted my rear lights and also put my pressed personalized plates on.

more lows are the only real plan for this year before the shows then nextyear will hopefully see some new and different things

oh and im obsessive about detailing it really is a disease some pictures will follow :D

Have you had any issues trying to get wheels to fit inside your arches bossfox?

No, when it gets really low it just sits on the tyres.

But as it's not moving I don't consider that an issue.

Engine options !  I have a 1.2tsi 86bhp   I have made quite a few enquiries and various reputable firms will now do a remap and bring it up to 125bhp (obviously even better than 105) and claimed to be totally safe within tolerances. Mine is 2 years old on February and I will do it after its second service.  I am more interested in a bit more torque and this can easily be provided at relative small cost !  Have you had a look at this ?

In a previous life i had my vRS done and it was great with no issues.  Done by Jabba sport

Hi @PristineReflections - I'm new to the Roomster game, and your car is looking great.

Could you tell me more about the coilovers you have fitted, and also the wheel/tyre sizes you have gone for?

I have a 2012 1.2 Tsi with wheel specs;

185/60R15 88T 5.5Jx15 ET38 5x100

I'm keen to get mine lowered, wider wheels (preferably some retro steels) and to black out grills and lights.
