Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I've been a long time lurker here on Briskoda, learning loads of useful info for my various Skoda's but never really contributing much.

I'm running a group buy on another forum and thought that members of Briskoda could definitely benefit, So I'd like to offer it here too:

The deal:

Minimum 20% off Stage 1 remaps at 2 selected Revo Dealers.
If we can get good numbers at each dealer, we could get upto an extra 15% off - these numbers are yet to be detailed
Anyone with a 2005> VAG car can participate but,
Everyone taking part in the deal must be on this post, and booked in with a deposit taken at the dealers before the event.
All remaps are to be done on the day. (dates TBC)
Discount is on stage 1 remaps only. For the next stage, you just have to pay the difference between stage 1 and the one you require. This is at normal rates*

30 day money back if you're not satisfied

Locations:

2 Sites are going to take part in the deal. They are ADS Preston and QuattroTech in st, Ives Cambridgeshire
Both Sites are well respected VAG group specialists

I've personally dealt with both over the last couple of years and found them to be both knowledgeable and professional, but above all - helpful.

Dates are to be agreed when we have numbers back.

But its most likely to be end of October, beginning of November

I'm sure there might be, it might be worth posting in the model areas.

Am I interested?......of course but it's the wrong time for myself, car is way too new to be playing with it!

Anyway good luck with the GB I hope you get the numbers!

I'm up for the ADS day, if we hit the minimum numbers. I have to get on early in the morning though as I need to collect my wife and daughter from Manchester Airport at Midday 31st.

Well we got to 10 so got the 30% off.

Big thanks to the 2 members who came along with the octavia Vrs' that got us there. Gutted for the one that had a new version of the ECU, hope they can sort it another time for you, And jealous for the power hike on yours Flyboy019 :)

The Engine carbon cleaning was fantastic on my MK2 Vrs diesel, i'll put a review up for that in the general car chat section.

I'll put some quotes up from other members from the A5OC who attended Baptistsan

For my input, QT have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with and I've done 3 GB's with them. I've put over 35 customers through their door and every review/comment has been positive. If I was closer, I'd use them for all my work (190 miles each way is a little far for a service  :envy:  lol)

Cav:

Quite a trek there for me this morning but well worth it to meet you all and the team at QT.

Not had a remap myself (this time), but I think it's rare to find a garage that is so open and honest as these guys were.
Nothing was hidden, and we were left to ask, touch and watch anything we wanted to basically thumbsup.gif

Bonus that Kelvin didn't poison us , or me at least, with the BBQ either tango_face_devil.png

If I was only closer, there's no-one I'd rather take my cars too!

Last minute deposits came in so we made the 30% off cheers.gif and 5 cars had the Carbon cleaning from Cuppa too.

Please show some support back to them for the support they have given us today and post them a review/rating comment etc on their facebook sites.
https://www.facebook.com/QuattroTechLtd/?fref=ts
https://www.facebook.com/F5ECC/?fref=ts

Hope you all are as happy with the remaps as I was when I did mine.

Brutalink A5 2.0T:

Many Thanks to the guys at QT and Cuppa for his services. I'm sure I will find myself at QT's door a lot more often.
Many Thanks also to Smee for organising and Cav for all the info in this thread.

The 2.0T is running sweet. Exceptionally economical at unmentionable speeds.
It was great to meet people as enthusiastic about the B8 as I!

P.S. The Revo Intake sounds ridiculous, I love it

Smee A5 2.0TDi:

great meeting you all had a great day at QT again smile.gif

i managed 6 more MPG on usual route clearly i aint using my remap properly lol

Adamantium A5 3.0Tdi:

Big thanks for organising this.

I ended up convincing REVO to let me go on the friday and it's lucky I did. My car took around 6 hours! Wouldn't have managed it on the saturday. Really great place and really great guys - lovely pizza too.

Kelvin was very hospitable and made the long stay comfortable.

The car feels incredible - well worth every penny and it was especially nice to benefit from the full discount at the very last minute!

I'd recommend revo, but I'd recommend QT even more - great logo btw!

So, managed to get booked in earlier than originally planned for the work, consisting of:
- Revo stage 1+ remap
- Revo pulley upgrade
- Revo DSG remap
- Milltek catback exhaust (non-res, quad black tips)
- 034Motorsport Transmission Mount install
Wow – what a difference!! Dave took me out after the work was complete (took nearly all day - quattro–tech are perfectionists which is a good thing!), and showed me the difference between stock (including pulley change of course) and then the full-on performance remap. Awesome – the torque increase in phenomenal and marries well with the DSG changes. I’m still getting used to the change – it needs careful handling! What gets me is how easy it is to drive normally – just put into drive select “auto” or “comfort” mode (staying out of sport mode!) and the car is a pussy cat. In dynamic mode things are a bit more lively – I found the best way to get the most out of the upgrades is to use manual mode as the auto downshifts, although much quicker, are still not quick enough. The Milltek is very good too - I was worried about drone as I went for the non-resonated version, but unlike the Milltek on my V8 S5, there is none at all.

Would I recommend this to anyone else? Most definitely! Not cheap, but given that I now have a sub 3.7 0–60mph car, it’s good value.

Now for the guys at quattro-tech – what a great team. I and am very impressed with their attitude and company ethos, taking time out to discuss what is happening with my car and were genuinely interested in what I had to say. If you need something doing, these are the guys to go to. I can’t thank Dave, Darryl or Kelvin enough for all they have done – cheers guys."
